Tuesday: 2-6pm. (break from 3-4)

Wednesday: 12-7pm. (break from 3-6)

Thursday: 9-6pm. (break from 12-3)

Friday: 1-3pm

T101: So far only got Wanyi
T102: My class! With Zhi Fan!! My brudder!! Who else? Tell me..
T103: What a brilliant lineup - Nicole, Aaron, Mahathir, Karin!!
T104: So far Ashraf and Andrea

I'm not really sure what CDS I'm taking. The short form is LSc&u, which could be Life Sciences and U or Leadership and Character.

As you can see my timetable is quite screwed up, which means there's really hardly any chance that I can meet sec sch/JC friends for lunch at TM or even play soccer. I think I might as well quit soccer haha! Never mind I'll do what I can.

I will update, once I have updates!

I'm back! Anyway wanna wish everyone Happy New Year and blessed 2004!

So it's been a very happy ending for 2003 for me. Let's see, Monday was Mahathir's belated birthday celebrations. Everything went well except that we couldn't get tickets to any movie at all! So we went to Amiras restaurant in Bugis; everything looked akin to Swensen's. Especially the food and the pricing. Aaron and I secretly ordered a birthday brownie for Mahathir! Worked out quite well hehe. Then we went to Bugis village for some shopping.

Tuesday, yesterday, hmm.. long tired day. Went to play soccer at 9am, the last soccer kickabout for 2003. And for Sevverl, who's returning back to UK tomorrow. Hope to see you next year! Then went to school to bathe and had lunch at Subway with Yushan. It's been so long since I actually sat down and had a decent meal wth her. We're always watching movies and that's about it so it's good to finally sit down and have a good heart-to-heart talk. Really enjoyed it! She told me something very interesting: Next year, she's taking O levels, Yuqian's taking A levels, Yu En's taking her PSLE and her brother Weizhi has Sec2 streaming! So her whole family is stressed! Well, really wish all you good luck! Then I gave her the long-awaited Christmas present which turned out to be what she really wanted, so that's great! Hmm I wrote something on the Christmas card too, really made her day, but it's between both of us (",)

Headed off to Orchard and watched what might be the last movie I'm watching this year: LOVE ME IF YOU DARE. Not a bad show I must say! Somehow Leslie and Nicole didn't understand the story at all. I did! It's very nice! Go watch it people! A movie with many twists in the plot that will leave you intruiged!

Eh, after that went to Peace Centre K-Star karaoke with Reuben and company. Initially I didn't want to sing but due to mounting pressure I belted out "If I let you go" with Reuben, which turned out to be quite awful. Sorry mate! I mean, that's what I think lah haha. Well it turned out that his friends were singing songs that were absolutely not suitable for karaoke! No offence lah, but that's my opinion. I mean no one goes to K-box to sing "Hot in Here" by Nelly. That's reserved for Zouk.

Went off to boat Quay after that where nicole was finding her pub for NYE today. It was such a noisy pub!! Yah but couldn't stay long needed to catch the last train. Rushed back home to check my timetable, so here it is..

I couldn't use the computer yesterday and today i just came back. Still trying desperately to get my timetable. Will do the updates tomorrow. More important things to settle now. Trillions of SMS coming in asking about my class. People: I'm not sure yet i'm still trying to access!! Ok keep tagging the blog. Bye!

Sunday, December 28, 2003

As usual I came back so late yesterday. Hmm actually I wasn't feeling very well after soccer. Had a severe headache so I took a Panadol and went to sleep. Thankfully it helped. Went off to City Harvest Church after that with Leslie, Nicole and a couple of their other friends. Valerie, the cell group leader that I met 2 weeks ago at Marina, was there to grab good seats for us. And I mean good seats! Right in front! So the drama was basically about the birth of Jesus. Then of course we sang the usual Christmas carols and Pastor Kong preached a good message. It's great to be back in church after so long!

The service finished early at 8.50pm, so we took a cab down to Orchard for dinner at Scotts. There's really nothing much at the food court actually. But what the heck since our hungers pangs were going nuts. Walked down to Cineleisure as usual and decided to take a couple of Neoprints! Sorry I don't know how to put pictures on the blog but you can see them at my Friendster page. Very cool and exciting!

Saturday, December 27, 2003

Sorry I came home late so couldn't blog.

Hmm it was a good Boxing Day yesterday. Met Sarah, Leslie and Nicole at Orchard to pass them their gifts. Ate dinner at Yoshinoya then proceeded to watch SCHOOL OF ROCK cos couldn't get tickets for Love Me if You Dare. Hmm the movie did live up to its expectations as a cool comedy but I find it kinda unrealistic lah. If you watch the movie you'll know why. I won't spill the beans.

Wah kinda tired now just returned from soccer in the morning. Sevverl is extending his stay till 1/1/04! Great! Ok gotta rest now later got church see ya guys.

Thursday, December 25, 2003

So basically I woke up around 11+ and my grandma cooked lunch for me. (I'm feeling very guilty missing breakfast for many many days already) Then I listened to the Love Actually soundtrack which was good! Hmm after then changed and went off to TM to buy last minute presents for some friends I'm meeting. So it was chocolates for Caroline, a Christian CD for Ai En and Adidas accessories for Sevverl. Met them at some other pals at Tampines then we took a train to City Hall and walked to Suntec for dinner at NYDC. The pasta there isn't so bad. Quite value for money. Obviously I had room for desserts but I think I'll wait till I'm fully recovered. Anyway temptation got the better of me at Olio Dome (that's where we went next) and I bought a guava ice-blended for $5. I think I'll avoid such fine dining in future. Not sure what instigated our minds to actually chill out at such a classy place.

So I'm home blogging now. Believe it or not Christmas is not over. Still have presents to give away tomorrow and next week too. Oh people I'll probably be going to Sentosa for countdown 2004. Have to support Mediacorp lah! I'll update again.

It's Christmas today, and everyone's doing their own personal shoutouts, so here I am too.. (in no particular order)

Shasha, Dayana, Hidir, Yany: I've learnt a lot from the 4 of you! God bless you!

Wanyi: You are simply wonderful!

Aaron, Zhi Fan, Mahathir, Ashraf: The best pals in the world! See ya soon!

Cheryl, Chynna, Andrea: I won't forget you lovely gals!

Mandy: We'll go clubbing soon in SOS!

This list is not complete. There's many more people..like desmond, Fagan, Cheryl Poon, Jeff, Marcus, Bing Guang, Furong, Don, Kun, Angel and sooooooo many more! You know who you are! everyone has made my life more colourful in one way or another. This Christmas, I thank you from the bottom of my heart! God bless!

Hohoho Merry Christmas everyone!

So couldn't blog yesterday cos I went out for Christmas countdown and I was back at 3.30am! That's a personal record! Previously was 1.30am. I wonder what will happen on NYE! Anyway I went out to Orchard in the afternoon with some Sec school friends, wanted to watch Love Actually but it was sold out! So just walk and walk the whole of Orchard and it was so crowded! Then I went to York Hotel for dinner with my entire family and the food was great! It was actually the Penang Hawkers' Fare.

My aunty sent me to Singapore Expo where Joanna's church was having a Christmas service. So paiseh man I arrived late! But the service was good and meaningful. It's Christmas after all. Meng Yan, my junior in the SHSS Prefectorial Board was there too, and if you were to ask me who's the one person who really really changed your life, it's him. I really appreciate him cos when we were playing Angel and Mortal a few years back, he was my angel, and he actually burned a Christian CD for me! And he was very encouraging with all the little notes too. That is the best gesture that anyone has ever given me this 17 years, and I'm really thankful for him.

Oh after that Sarah said Downtown East was having a countdown but when we reached she realised the countdown is on NYE! Hai, never mind so we took a cab to Orchard Road including Leslie, Weithong and Eugene. wanted to go Sparks but couldn't find the place, but anyway it was so fun outside Taka! There were like thousands of people and I'm not exaggerating! So crowded! Then we bought these spray cans and randomly sprayed at anyone in our way! Yes! Even the small innocent girls were not spared! Really crazy man!! But what the heck lah!

Went to eat Mos Burger at 2am then took a cab home. So tired man..but fun lah!

Things are...slightly better.

Except that I'm still sick. Had a terrible terrible headache the whole night. Couldn't sleep at all. My head felt like a thousand knives piercing through it man. So morning I woke up and kept comtemplating if I should go for soccer. In the end I went - bad mistake. Really hurts man. Left earlier and finally, after so long, decided to see a doctor. Took medicine and now feeling much better.

Things are better now because it seems God was reading yesterday's sad entry by me. My Dad will be back tomorrow evening and he wants to bring the family out for Christmas eve celebrations in some posh restaurant. But I'm supposed to go to church too. Well I'll see how things go.

Tired now..

Monday, December 22, 2003

First things first, as usual, Happy birthday Fagan! Hmm 22 December. If you had been born exactly a month earlier we could celebrate together wahaha.

Ok so it's Christmas this week, but let me do a little poll. Those of you who are feeling the Christmas spirit this year please raise your hands. I tell you honestly, if I can actually just find one person, I'll be so jealous of him or her.

I think this year has got to go down in history as the worst ever Christmas for me. Serious, I'm not exaggerating. I look back at previous years - every single year I can recall - and I don't think I can find a suckier Christmas season than this year. I know I sound very frustrated, but I can't help it. I really am. Christmas is my favourite time of the year and I look forward to celebrating the birth of Jesus. But there's just no spirit this year. It's like, so insignificant to the whole of Singapore. I'm trying to be very positive about it by doing my fair share of the work. Sending cards, giving presents, trying to organise outings and stuff but it seems to me that everyone treats Christmas like, it's December 25. Christmas. Public holiday. That's all.

What makes it even worse is my Dad is away in Malaysia doing business (he might be back anytime. I don't know. No phone call or sms at all) and if you didn't already know, my Mum is involved in Hallmark cards. Which means this is her busy period. So I don't think there's any celebration at home. Oh yah I just remembered this year no one bothered to fix up the Christmas tree in the living room.

So there you have it. What a wonderful Christmas this is for me. I just hope time passes quickly and i'm able to get through this week in no time. As you can see my schedule keeps changing every day because my friends keep changing theirs too. Alright I don't really blame you all on this. I'm guilty of that too.

My initial plan is to finish my Christmas shopping today, but it's really no use buying presents when I can't even meet up with my friends. One of them didn't want to come and meet me at all and it hurts a lot. So how? Should I buy?

Sorry if today's entry seems to sad. Really just can't help it. Oh did I mention I'm still coughing?

This is a lovely email I received.

UNTIRING LOVE
This is a true story that happened in Japan.

In order to renovate the house, someone in Japan tears open the wall. Japanese houses normally have a hollow space between the wooden walls. When tearing down the walls, he found that there was a lizard stuck there because a nail from outside hammered into one of its feet. He sees this, feels pity, and at the same time curious, as when he checked the nail, it was nailed 10 years ago when the house was first built. What happened? The lizard has survived in such position for 10 years! In a dark wall partition for 10 years without moving, it is impossible and mind boggling. Then he wondered how this lizard survived for 10 years without moving a single step--since its foot was nailed! So he stopped his work and observed the lizard, what it has been doing, and what and how it has been eating. Later, not knowing from where it came, appears another lizard, with food in its mouth.

Ahh! He was stunned and touched deeply. For the lizard that was stuck by nail, another lizard has been feeding it for the past 10 years...

Such love, such a beautiful love! Such love happened even with this tiny creature .... What can love do? It can do wonders! Love can do miracles! Imagine? it has been doing that untiringly for 10 long years, without giving up hope on its partner. Imagine what a small creature can do that a creature blessed with a brilliant mind can't. I was touched when I heard this story and started wondering about relationships between family members, friends, lovers, brothers, sisters.

As information and communication technology advances, our access to information becomes faster and faster. But the distance between human beings. . . is it getting closer as well?

Saturday, December 20, 2003

My brothers are at my aunt's house now (don't ask why I didn't go) so I take this golden chance to use the laptop before they spend the whole day playing gunbound tomorrow.

Today I didn't do much but I need a break after 2 hectic days of going out. Woke up early for soccer and I was so glad it didn't rain! And I was even more glad to see Sevverl, who flew back from the UK. Still looking very good in shape I must say! Anyway we played the whole morning (with about 15 other friends) and after that went to Mc Donald's for lunch. All I ate was a McPepper burger because my throat was still kinda sore and I didn't wanna aggravate it by eating those French fries. Hmm I wonder why they call it French fries and not, erm, German fries?

Felt so tired so Nicole sorry can't go to the party.

Let me relate an incident too. I changed my wallet this morning so I forgot to bring my EZ-link card while going for soccer. Fortunately I had a $2 note so I approached this passenger for change, which he had plenty. But he offered to pay for my bus ride without exchanging my note! He said it's ok! Wow, I was so impressed. Really made my day. Don't you think Singaporeans are so kind? (well majority lah)

Sorry peeps my computer is down so kinda hard for me to blog! Keep tagging! Let me know who's reading this.

Friday, December 19, 2003

Computer was down yesterday, so couldn't update. In school now.

By right, officially, yesterday was the day I recovered from my flu bug, but I think I'm not fully energised yet. Ok so what happen was I woke up at 11.30am and immediately took a bath. Aunty Alice drove my brother, my grandparents and myself all the way to Concorde Hotel in Tiong Bahru for lunch at the Melting Pot Cafe. At $20 per adult it's considered reasonable cheap for a meal in a F & B hotel outlet, so obviously I only got, $20 worth of food to eat at the buffet. They served local delights but there wasn't much variety as compared to other hotel outlets. Anyway, it's still buffet - my favourite. So I ate and ate and ate..

Went off to Cineleisure next to meet Yuqian and her JC classmates who, quite evidently, haven't been to Orchard for like 10 years. There kept commenting "Wow! The people in Orchard is so cool!" Like...duh!

Then I watched another movie with her, this time it's LOVE ACTUALLY. And prior to the movie I got extra tickets so I decided to give it away, but it was so difficult to find people! Yeah unbelievable. Finally we saw this couple rushing to buy their Love Actually tickets and we stopped them! So thankfully the tickets weren't wasted. The movie itself lived up to its expectations so I was kinda glad. Very romantic and funny! Great time to watch since Christmas is just around the corner.

So that's Thursday. And yesterday, Friday, was a tiring day too. Woke up at 12+ and went down to Tampines to meet Zhi Fan, Aaron, Mahathir and Yuling. In the end our little outing turned out to be a simple meal at Ya Kun kaya toast! But the food was good of course. But too bad everyone gotta rush off after that, so guys, thanks for your time once again!

So I went to Orchard on the evening to meet Nicole and Wanyi. Haven't seen Wanyi in about a month! So good to meet up again! Went to Yoshinoya to eat, then took a cab down to Boat Quay for some photo taking. The buskers were so cool! Then just chill out there and then I'm so tired so we went back.

Thursday, December 18, 2003

I'm feeling much better now. The Nim Jiom remedy proved to be kinda effective, and I hope I make it comfortably through the night. The flu is completely gone, just a little cough and slight headaches.

Quite bored, so I read other people's blogs. I was quite bothered by one of them. I won't say who; she's my friend's friend.
I find her very stuck-up and she's acting so arrogant. It's like she ain't that big but she thinks her life is such a big deal. Her entries are crazy man. She disses people off (ok that's perfectly normal) but it's all out of jealously and a case of being sour grapes. I hate these type of people. They'll never get far in life. I feel sorry for her.

Hmm sorry if I'm kinda open-minded today, I'm usually not as you can see. But I thought I'll just put the message across to everyone.

CHORUS

Mothers weep, children sleep
So much violence ends in silence
It's a shame there's no one 2 blame
For all the pain that life brings
If u will just take me It might just complete me
And together we can make a stand

Feeling so sick!

Went for DURAN DURAN concert with Isaac yesterday. I'm really positively sure that I was the youngest in the audience! So many Ang Mohs were there too. The music was ok, considering I don't really know this band. Had a bad headache after that cos the music was unbelievably loud man.

Slept fitfully yesterday night. The Panadol is certainly not helping, but the fact that soccer was cancelled this morning obviously gave me the opportunity to sleep late again. My flu bug isn't improving and I think I've used up so many tissue paper I might have just killed a tree. Actually I wanted to see a doctor today but my Grandma bought Nim Jiom remedy for me, so we'll see if that works out.

Tuesday, December 16, 2003

Lately I've been complaining about the rain, and here's another good reason for me to do so: I'M SICK!!

Yeah I think I'm feeling under the weather for 2 days already. Been dosing myself with Panadol at like, 4am in the morning? Helped a bit. Anyway I don't have a fever but a really bad flu and cough. Had sleeping problems because of that. I'll give myself one more day, and if this persists I'll see a doctor.

Went for THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RETURN OF THE KING premiere yesterday at Shaw Orchard. Really huge event. Attended the cocktail before the show and so many stars were there, most significantly Denise Keller. She was acting so childish, playing with all the hobbits and stuff. Yeah, you heard me right, some lame hobbits were there for the fun of it. Sadly only finger food was served but the tarts were delicious! Then of course proceeded for the movie itself and let me warn you guys before watching: it's 3 1/2 hours long, so don't watch at night! Unfortunately for me it started at 9.30pm, so, do the Maths.

Really tired now man. Better get some sleep. Going out later.

Reflection

A son and his father were walking on the mountains.

Suddenly, his son falls, hurts himself and screams: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"

To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"

Curious, he yells: "Who are you?"

He receives the answer: "Who are you?"

Angered at the response, he screams: "Coward!"

He receives the answer: "Coward!"

He looks to his father and asks: "What's going on?"

The father smiles and says: "My son, pay attention."

And then he screams to the mountain: "I admire you!"

The voice answers: "I admire you!"

Again the man screams: "You are a champion!"

The voice answers: "You are a champion!"

The boy is surprised, but does not understand.

Then the father explains: "People call this ECHO, but really this is LIFE.

It gives you back everything you say or do.

Our life is simply a reflection of our actions.

If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart.

If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence.

This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life;

Life will give you back everything you have given to it.

YOUR LIFE IS NOT A COINCIDENCE. IT'S A REFLECTION OF YOU!

Hmm it seems I need to be cautious about what I blog about!

Anyway, as you've read in Friday's entry, I mentioned about some stuff that's really bothering me and some of my friends did lend a comforting shoulder, so thanks people. To be honest, these problems occur in our lives and inevitably cause us to feel down. But let me just say I'm not the sort who broods over problems. Those who know me well enough understand that I don't really get angry and petty so easily so, basically if I write such things again just ignore it. Really. Actually, you know, it's Monday today and I totally forgot about that problem that was bothering me on Friday! I don't even have a clue what went wrong. So you see, I want to clarify that I'm not the sort who gets affected by such storms in life so easily. Every day is a new day don't you agree? It will come and go lah. But thanks for all your concerns peeps!

Secondly, over the Christmas wish list, I'm quite surprised there were people who actually bother to figure out what on earth do I want for Christmas! Peeps, DON"T BOTHER! IT'S NOT IMPORTANT! And don't make ridiculous guesses!

Sunday, December 14, 2003

Today I find it quite impossible to go out.

Woke up at 12.15pm. Lately, it's been very routine for me to wake up at such ridiculous hours, try as I might not to. I don't find it very healthy and it will affect my mealtimes. I'm the sort who needs to eat 3 meals a day. It's a must or it becomes like a sin to me. So can you imagine, if I wake up at 12.15 for breakfast, what time is lunch? Crazy isn't it? Oh I must tell you too, Sunday's breakfast is always the heaviest because my Grandma buys back food from the market. 1 humongous packet of Nasi Lemak, 1 bowl of Tau Huay, 1 plate of soursop. Weird huh. I'm so full now.

As I was saying, I have to stay indoors because of, yes, you guessed it. RAIN! You know, as a Christian, rain was a symbolic event because of the Noah's ark story, but lately it has been rather troubling. Oh well, I won't complain too much. We experience summer the whole year round, so this is our closest substitute for so-called winter.

And I woke up today with my entire body aching like crazy! Must be from yesterday. All the activities and stuff, really taking a toll on me. And add to the fact that from last Saturday I've been out every single day and I'm feeling very very weary now. Could have accompanied by Dad to watch Love Actually but no! I'm not watching another movie! Not until tomorrow.

Anyway, I've read other people's blog and it seems everyone is doing up a Christmas wish list. So wanna know mine? Sorry, I ain't gonna post it. You would probably be going "HUH? Jermaine wants that for Christmas?! Are you kidding?!" At least, that's what your reaction would probably be. So to save my blushes I will keep it a secret. I have many things that I really want this Christmas, which includes the tangible and inatngible stuff, but I think I'll let nature take its course. To be honest I don't expect anyone to guess what are the things that I desire for this Christmas. That's me huh. Always so unpredictable. Haha. Well, you do realise its only 11 days to Christmas.

Rain, rain go away. Come again another day!

December is the rainy season and sometimes it's really frustrating don't you agree? Woke up this morning for soccer but it rained!! Waste my time.

I still had a fantastic day nonetheless. Went to Marina Bay with Leslie and his church gang for their Sports Day. Initially he told me to play soccer for his cell group but in the end I took part in all the activities! First up was a 4 x 100 relay which certainly didn't seem like a 4 x 100 relay. I think it's only 50m. Quite disappoitingly we finished second after my 3rd runner slipped and I couldn't really catch up with the winners. The girls won convincingly though.

Soccer was next and it all went horribly wrong on the worst pitches I've played ever. 3 matches, and 3 losses. That's unacceptable, albeit our opponents were definitely bigger and stronger than us. It was kinda heated up although thankfully it didn't escalate into fights. I myself was muscled to the ground so badly that I needed treatment, and I thought the referee was horrendous. Blind. And my opponents dived quite a bit. At least, that's what I suspected. You know this year has been terrible because I haven't won a major soccer match or tournament compared to last year, but I'll keep plugging away. Anyway full marks to Kelvin for scoring 2 goals.

By popular demand I had to make substitute appearances for the Captain's Ball matches and it turned out pretty ok though we didn't win. I scored a cheeky goal and that's all that I really did actually! The girls really played their lives out and it was really impressive. Most of them were netballers anyway. No problems with ball control.

Lastly had to do a relay race and my part was to blow a balloon and walk with it between my legs! Lame I say. Haven't done such childish stuff since being in Poly. The fun part was the last obstacle where we tied each others leg with a partner and hobbled 50m to the finish line! Tough I say. Mine was tied to Rachel and she was quite stable thankfully!

Had to do a cheer in the end, and with ideas flowing freely I suggested doing the Chiwawa dance, and in the end that's what we did! Very stupid dance, but kinda fun haha. Definitely had a ball of a time today especially bonding with lots of ex-schoolmates I haven't seen so long. Really miss you guys! Thanks!!

Today wasn't such a good day, but there were a few positives that I'll bring up:
1. I didn't watch any movies today (fortunately!)
2. Mahathir passed his Business Stats!
3. The Lord answered one of my prayers! Been praying for about 2 weeks or so, and today I saw exactly what I prayed for! Praise the Lord!

Anyway, it wasn't such a good day nonetheless. I won't say why. A little bit complicated and stuff, but only God will know.

Went to Mahathir's house today to celebrate Hari Raya. A little belated Hari Raya, but still worth going. The noodles his mum cooked were spicy! Anyway it was a good celebration, and it's always good to meet up with the TRM guys after so long. They have been my source of companionship this semester, and so I shouldn't forget them this holiday as well.

After that I was supposed to go to Orchard to meet some friends, but Nicole called last minute (just before the train came) and said she was going to Zouk instead! Sorry, not my cup of tea. So Leslie and I ended up wasting 45 cents for nothing. Went to Century Square to meet desmond for a while before meeting Aaron and Mahathir for pool and dinner.
And now I'm blogging of course.

Hai, actually I'm still feeling a little sad over some things. I'm not the emotional sort as most of you realised, so actually I don't know why I'm wearing my heart on my sleeve. But it's good to let it out lah. Don't worry peeps I'm doing fine. By tomorrow I'll be ok already :)

Friday, December 12, 2003

That's 10 movies in 7 days.
10 MOVIES IN 7 DAYS!!

Today was my movie marathon, and it wasn't that great. First up was RUGRATS GONE WILD, and it was a rather short movie, about 80 minutes or so. The cartoon was, like cartoon lah. Nothing much. Didn't enjoy it simply because I'm 17 years old, not 7.

Same reason why I didn'y really enjoy LOONEY TUNES BACK IN ACTION. This one is slightly better because there was some good acting by Brandon Fraser, but overall, it's still cartoon, and I'm 17 years old.

After 2 movies, had a good dinner at Pasta Mania. Met Joanna and Victor who were planning to watch Elf. great movie I say! Then headed to Wisma for some shopping with Sarah, Leslie and Nicole. Window shopping I mean. Played around with those childish Mogu pillows haha. Really cuddly. Then when we were about to head back to Cathay it rained! Very heavily! Sucks man. No choice had to borrow a stranger's brolly to get across.

The last movie turned out to be the worst, and the lamest movie I've ever watched. So people, don't watch CRAZY FIRST LOVE. Anyway, it's NC-16 not because of violence, but because of you-know-what, which was a real turn-off. Next, the storyline is crap and the whole show is peppered with slapstick and dry humour. A total waste of time. Forget it peeps.

Ok so that's quite an eventful week. 10 movies! Unbelievable. And you know what? It's not over. I have some more movie appointments to settle soon! But not tomorrow. So keep reading to find out haha.

Right now, my whole life revolves around watching movies.

Didn't do much today. Had insommnia last night even though I'm supposed to feel tired after catching 2 shows on Tuesday. Woke up feeling very drowsy, so I ate and slept in the afternoon. The rain helped a bit, I went off to Lalaland in no time.

Naturally felt refreshed when I woke up, and after changing I took a train to Bugis with my Dad and 2 brothers. Had free tickets for INFERNAL AFFAIRS III at Prince. The cinema was huge I tell you! We went in kinda late, but even with free seating we still managed to get good seats at the back. That's how big it was! The stars of the movie were introduced before the show but I couldn't really see them. No wonder people were rushing to sit in front. Anyway I don't really know their names as I'm not a big fan of the Chinese entertainment scene, but Kelly Chen was there and I had sort of read about her before.

I expected the movie to be quite boring and my Dad said there was going to be lots of dialougues and stuff, so I wore specs instead of contacts in case I dozed off halfway. However, I thought it was not too bad a movie. Better than expected, that's all I can say. Worth your money if you had previously watched part I and II.

Tomorrow there's a movie marathon for me..

Here's a little story I received from my friend who e-mailed me.

A boy was born to a couple after eleven years of marriage. They were a loving couple and the boy was the apple of their eyes. When the boy was around two years old, one morning the husband saw a medicine bottle open.He was late for work so he
asked the wife to cap the bottle and keep it in the cupboard. The mother, preoccupied in the kitchen totally forgot the matter. The boy playfully went to the medicine bottle and, fascinated with its color, drank it all. It happened to be a poisonous medicine meant for adults in small dosages. When the child showed signs of poisoning, the mother took him to the hospital, where he died. The mother was
stunned. She was terrified how to face her husband. When the distraught father came to the hospital and saw the dead child, he looked at his wife and uttered just four words.

QUESTIONS :

1. What were the four words ?
2. What is the implication of this story ?

ANSWER:

The husband just said "I Love You Darling". The husband's totally unexpected reaction is proactive behavior. He is indeed a genius in human relationships. The child is dead. He can never be brought back to life. There is no point in finding fault with
the mother. She had also lost her only child. What she needed at that moment was
consolation and sympathy from the husband. That is what he gave her. If everyone can look at life with this kind of perspective, there would be much fewer problems in the world.
To be happy with a man, you must understand him a lot and love him a little. To be happy with a woman, you must understand her a lot and love her with all your heart.

"A journey of a thousand miles, begins with but with a single step."
"Take off all your envies, jealousies, unforgiveness, selfishness, and fears AND you will find things are actually not so difficult as you think."

My crazy movie marathon continues today.

Met up with Yushan in the afternoon. Went to Pavilion to play pool, kinda boring cos it's only 2 of us and playing continuously for an hour can sometimes kill me, as I've experienced with Aaron before. Then went to buy tickets for DUPLEX, and there was a little scare cos before the show we walked around and suddenly I realised that I dropped the tickets! Thankfully she found it on the floor. I was so embarressed man, it was really very careless of me. Sigh. Anyway the movie was so-so only. Funny at times, but the whole show was unrealistic. You won't expect such lame incidents to happen in real life. I thought Drew Barrymore acted especially well.

After the movie I rushed off to Orchard at 7pm where Celeste and her cousins wanted to watch ELF for free, so fine, I showed up and got them the tickets. Nicole herself wanted to watch POSSESSED, so there I was, watching my second movie for the day. Actually I don't mind watching 2 movies in a day, but after the first movie naturally you will feel tired, and in economic terms, "your marginal utility decreases". The last thing I wanted was a boring, lifeless and all-smoke-no-fire sort of second movie.

But that's what I got. The movie turned to be an absolute nightmare from hell. There was no storyline whatsoever and totally no sense in the entire show. 0 out of 5 stars. Your remedy for insommnia. Unbelievably full of rubbish. People, don't watch it. You'll regret it.

Today I really wasted a lot of money on transport and it's really bugging me. My friend's friend's friend was having a karaoke session at K-box Choa Chu Kang so I took 969 from Tampines to Woodlands which cost me 45 minutes of my precious time and around $2. Then from Woodlands I took a train to Choa Chu Kang which cost me another dollar or so. Upon reaching, Nic wasn't so comfortable with her friend's friends' friends because they acted so Ah Beng and was smoking so heavily in front of us. What a turn off. Off we went.

Headed to Allson Hotel in Bugis where Leslie was doing some Sharity Gift Box for the Boys' Brigade. So poor thing. Had been there since morning but it appeared to be an absolute waste of time. Anyway he decided to leave early and we went to Cineleisure for some drinks at Buttercup Coffee. The ambience was superb. It's a must to go there! Then Nicole had the crazy idea of watching WISHING STAIRS even though we had already watched it, but for Leslie's sake and the fact that the tickets were free (thanks to me again), I sat through the entire movie again. Still gave me the creeps, but I knew what was going to happen, so the thrill wasn't really there.

I really have to stop this bad habit of watching movies twice!

There is no remedy for love, except to love more

Star Awards 2003 yesterday was stunning. Had a memorable time man. Eventually, as expected, Holland V turned out to be the big winners as there were no darkhorses. Patricia Mok's speech was kinda hilarious! I don't know if it's her first time winning. Congratulations to Chen Liping for winning Best Actress too, I think she thoroughly deserved it for her role as the protagonist in Holland V. (And for all the unnecessary trauma she went through fighting for Slim 10. Andrea de cruz is inhuman.) Gurmit Singh won an award for Top 10 Most Popular Actors but the mood was sullen as he announced the recent passing of his father. Deepest sympathy.

The post-awards reception was even hotter! I had the priviledge of mingling with the stars and taking several photos with Fann Wong, Tay Ping Hui, Jeannete Aw, Edmund Chen and so many more! Managed to get autographs from them too! Not to mention the delectable spread of buffet and free-flow beer! What a truely sensational night!

Today I shall offer everyone some insights on life.

At the start of the year, do you know how lecturers in TP chose students who wanted to join hospitality and tourism management? Basically, the student has to talk, talk and talk about a particular topic. For my case, it was on young entrepreneuers. Then, those who were convincing enough were chosen, and the rest were rejected on the spot. The end product? 300 students in HTM who love to talk non-stop, 24/7.

When you have a few people in class who talk a lot, fine. A little fun, laughter and energy is what every class desires. Imagine the entire class consists of such students. Yakking non-stop. Every second every minute, it would be a miracle if you could even hear a pin drop. Ok, I'm exaggerating.

Lately, I've been pondering over this issue as I look back on the first semester. To me it had been a smooth sailing 5 months or so, but there were a couple of ocassions when there was a little friction with some of my coursemates and we just couldn't see eye-to-eye. I myself have witnessed HTM students quarrelling and bickering in the canteens or lab, and it was a big disgrace. The arguements were really heated and it was as though a fight could start any minute. Bear in mind majority of HTM students are female.

So what exactly am I trying to bring across?

Everyone who has studied Science know that like poles repel and unlike poles attract. So think about it: you are studying in an environment where everyone has the same personality. Everyone loves to talk. Everyone loves to voice out their opinions. Everyone wants a huge say in everything. Everyone are like poles. Like poles repel.

Anyway, I took a personality test last year and it's proven that people with similar personalities CANNOT get along well with each other as compared to those with different personalities. Interesting! So, I've found out why conflicts occur within my course and I think it's an intruguing discovery. As I look back at some of the disagreements that has hampered my Polytechnic life, I feel a little hurt, but with a changed mindset, I think I'll be more accomodating in future. Relationships are not created to be hurt because we cannot accept others.

To borrow a cliche, we can all make a difference.

If it's over let it go and, come tomorrow it will seem so yesterday, so yesterday. I'm just a bird that's already flown away.
Laugh it off and let it go and, when you wake up it will semm so yesterday, so yesterday. Haven't you heard that I'm gonna be ok.

It's another one of those days.

Woke up at 7.45am and took a cab to the Parliament House with my brother. My mum said help was needed very urgently to pack some envelopes for the Ministers, but we ended up waiting for a whole 2 hours because there were problems at the customs in JB, where the stocks were arriving. Sigh.

Eventually went home at 1pm where I took a short nap before heading off to Parkway to meet Nicole. Had dinner with her parents and she was like blabbering on about me. Good thing her father fetched us to Orchard later. Oh by the way her younger sister Celeste is really acting like a maniac sometimes. Runs in the family huh?

My movie marathon continued on today and as promised, I watched ELF again with David and her. Anyway, it's free. It was as hilarious as yesterday! People, go watch it! Its an awesome show! But I'm not going to watch it a 3rd time, so fret not.

After that went to Marche to eat Rosti with sausage and took the MRT to Orchard where we walked to an area outside Hard Rock Cafe to meet some of her Australian friends. They look like 16 or 17 but in actual fact, ONLY 14! If I can I'll put up the photos haha. There was a bit of panic when the cops came (they drank, smoked and played under-aged pool) but it was all sorted out, thankfully, and I took a cab home.

I'm very very exhausted, but I"M LOVIN IT!

I wrote so much yesterday, but I forgot about something very imporant. Deepest condolences going out to Aaron and Stephanie Finley (SHSS 4B 02') over the passing of his friend and her father respectively. You'll be in my prayers.

I can choose either to be a victim of the world or an adventurer in search of treasure. It's all a question of how I view my life.
Extracted from "Eleven Minutes" from Paulo Coelho

To Melissa The Great Golfer: Happy 17th birthday!!

Today is so tiring. It's almost 12am already.

Yeah, I'm supposed to go JB but in the end, while my mum was driving me there, her boss called and said it wasn't necessary! Fortunately, that occured in Tampines, so it's not so bad. If her boss called when I was in Woodlands, I tell you, I'll be an angry man now.

No, I won't get so boiled up easily. Anyway, after pointlessly dropping me off in Tampines Mall, I decided to meet Mahathir for lunch at Long John Silver since he was free. Met his friends whom they claimed I've played soccer with before. Well, I've played soccer with millions of people before.

It's good to meet up with Mahathir after quite some time. His Business Statistics Supplementary paper wasn't too difficult. That's good news! Decided to head to Cineleisure and endured a long and cumbersome train ride there. Found out that several of my friends were taking the Supplementary paper too, and I realised these people were constantly skipping lectures. Well, I won't feel sorry for you if you don't make it. I'm not being cruel, but I'm not so kind as well. In any case, the world isn't so kind to let you pass like that.

I had a mini movie marathon today, watching ELF and MASTER & COMMANDER. It's free anyway. I'm using a Cathay VIP card. ELF was very hilarious! It wasn't as hilarious as Johnny English but it certainly made my day. I love all these crap movies where the storyline is crap, the acting is crap, but I can laugh and laugh and laugh. Hahaha. I certainly wouldn't mind watching it again.

Aaron and Ashraf dropped by after ELF and I got tickets for MASTER & COMMANDER. I didn't enjoy the movie at all. The acting wasn't crap, the storyline wasn't crap, but I didn't laugh. So it's not nice. The journalists who gave raving reviews about this movie must be too mature.

Our late dinner was at a gloomy KFC in Lido, before taking a long train journey home. Sorry if today's entry is long, I'm also not sure what I'm writing. I have a long day ahead tomorrow. I'll see if I can update.

Hey peeps, please tag my blog!

At every moment of our lives, we all have one foot in a fairy tale and the other in the abyss. Life moves very fast. It rushes us from heaven to hell in a matter of seconds.
Abstracted from "Eleven Minutes" by Paula Coelho

Today is so cold. I'm freezing. From the moment I woke up till now, it was ice ice baby. I mean, 23 degrees celcius isn't very cold right? Man, I was shivering from head to toe the whole night.

Wednesday 3rd December. Supposed to go to Parkway Parade and Victoria JC with Nicole for some photo-taking with her friend but something cropped up last minute. Caught a gross episode of Fear Factor before heading off to the school library. Again, is it me or is the air-conditioner acting too overenthusiastic today? Lesson learnt: Never wear shorts and T-shirt to the library.

Saw Ashraf in school, he had just finished his Supplementary paper for Microeconomics. His last paper (fortunately). I really wish him all the best. Same goes for Dayana, Ryna, Andrea and the rest. You must pass!!

There wasn't many people in the library. Surfed the Net for a while before borrowing some books home. Aaron was on MSN and I managed to chat with him for a while. Sorry dude, had to postpone tomorrow's lunch.

Heading off to JB tomorrow. Short trip, maybe from morning till evening. Mum needs help with her Hallmark cards. Not selling, but receiving the stocks on JB's office. If I have the time, I would love to do some shopping there too. May need to go back there on Friday too.

To me, fair friend, you never can be old
For as you were when first your eye I eyed,
Such seems your beauty still.

Wow it's 12.45 am, so by right it's 3rd December already. Anyway, Happy birthday Caroline! I don't think I wanna sing a birthday song again haha. Hope you enjoy my little present (yeah I know it's really really microscopic :)

I'm so sticky and oily. Just returned from 4A class bbq at East Coast, kind of had fun lah. Thing is, it rained when we were about to start the fire and it has never ever rained when I'm having a bbq before! Today is the first! Then when my friends and I were shifting our stuff from the shelter to the bbq pit, I took someone else's food by mistake! In all: 3 bags of chips, 5 packs of Otah, 1 box of margarine and 1 plastic bag loaded with chicken wings. Strangely, the group didn't realise that their food was missing. I witnessed them starting the fire, but the food was nowhere in sight. They could have just walked up to us and ask, but no, they continued starting the fire without any food. Singaporeans nowadays, I really wonder..

Anyway, honesty is the best policy, and finally I decided to return their food lah. A bit paiseh, but I apologised profusely. Guess my rash and impatient nature has taken its toll man. Another suay incident: June tried to open a new bottle of honey and unsuccessfully spilled some on her skirt and shoes. Man, you should have seen her cursing her mouth off.

Then, the fire just wouldn't start. I think it took about 30 minutes before we barbequed the first batch of food, but the cooking took much much longer. Very tedious and frustrating with everyone starving. In the end I didn't eat much, but didn't really have the appetite either. Chatted a lot with ex-classmates, some of whom I haven't seen in ice ages. It's really good to keep in touch once in a while.

Ok it's getting late, better get going. Till next time.

People, check out Nicole's blogger! It's so sophisticated! No wonder she got distinction for Computer Applications in school. The Black Eyed Peas video was great, and the link to the Atomic Kitten website was fantastic too!

Anyway, speaking about Atomic Kitten, these girls are lovely! This song is so cool. Make sure you download it.

If You Come To Me

So long ago
I didn't have a care about me
I didn't know my right from wrong
But now I know
That you left got love around me
You know it makes me feel so strong
Baby if you turn around
And prove to me its real
Maybe we can work it out
Cos this is how I feel

Do you know where you go when you give it all away
I'll be there for you, care for you
Love you everyday oh baby
And do you feel the same for me?
Everyday you're away
And I feel a little low
I would cry for you, die for you
Just to let you know oh baby
And if you come to me you know I'll make it right

Through out all my life
I never thought I'd have somebody
Someone to call my own
And now I've found
A little bit of heaven baby
A place to call my own

Baby if you turn around
And prove to me its real
Maybe we can work it out
Cos this is how I feel

Chorus

Hey there dont you know
You gotta slow down before you know
You gonna brake down and turn around
Before you know, you go and break my heart
When will you learn to be
A little helpful when you think of me
A little careful when you're close to me
Coz baby i loved you from the start

Baby if you turn around
And prove to me its real
Maybe we can work it out
Cos this is how I feel

[ I love you ]

Chorus x 2

Wow It's been so long since I wrote anything, 1 month to be exact. November was like so busy for me. Anyway it's 1st of December today, to get things started..

Happy Birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to Weiling
Happy birthday to you!

Hmm, how many of you know that it's also World Aids Day today? Interesting huh. Those of you who have Cable TV, go tune in to MTV cos there's plenty of Aids documentaries that are shown.

Ok certain updates on my life. Most significantly I'm 17 years old already! (finally) But still need to wait another year before clubbing is legal for me haha. But the celebration was great, had a memorable time at SOS with all my friends. See if I can upload some photos here. David celebrated his 17th birthday 3 days after mine, and the party at his house was much more quieter of course hehe.

Flashback. 21st November. Location - Tampines Mall. The mall was packed with people. I remember vividly walking down the escalator and walking past Converse shop. Hey, my handphone is vibrating. Who would have SMS me? Unlock keypad. "1 message received" Read now? Yes.
