Hello. Alright so another chapter of my life has officially begun as I embark on a long 6-month attachment at Cathay. Ok don't think I will give so much details about my work. For my colleagues, you will have the liberty to read about everything in the ejournal, but due to circumstances relating to blogs now (you can get arrested for ridiculous comments!) I think I better keep some comments to myself.

Anyway, 2 days in, I mean, it's not hell. The airport has been a familiar environment for me, CX has been a faithful customer for my previous company, in a nutshell, nothing is new. Break times are wonderful times! I have lived off the canteen, so I miss the food man. The sessions with the supervisor has been fruitful and extensive. Honestly I can't see myself screwing up this job. So like I said, if you're hoping that CX will cause my life to shatter, haha, ok fine so they didn't call Andrea when they said they would and that's not right.

Had the first classroom session with Mr Low, my first semester CP. Nothing's new. I can't forsee I will have any problems with him as compared to..................................nvm

Had Sakae buffet in the afternoon, I forsee it could be my last one until November. So pig out! But I hate the TM branch man. The service there is real 'splendid'.

American Idol was trashy. Songs from 2000-2005, and all you think of was Martina McBride, Luther Vandross and Nickelback. This was the Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears and Nsync era. Sigh.

My nose was busted open in the morning, literally. Never saw so much blood gushed out before and it continued for 20 minutes. That's a lot of blood lost, which could have explained my headache throughout the day. Freak accident though, but yeah still kinda bruised and red. Anyway now my legs are feeling very numb from a whole day of walking too which makes it even worse. Die. I can't start internship with a deoxygenated mind.

My ipod suffered the same fate too, and it's no surprise though. Apple products have a notorious reputation for breaking down and crashing. So much for being 1 of the top 20 companies in the world. It's gonna be a hefty repair *pengz*

My dad just returned from Dubai, then he came to disturb me on the com. Must have bought some Arabian rubbish there for me, or so I thought. Then he showed me a betting slip and I almost fell off my chair. FA Cup, Newcastle v Man Utd, 1-4, winnings: $1200!

Ok good and bad. Good: the cash. duh. Bad: It's like using money to test my loyalty.

Anyway I take my hats off him. I bet that not a single Man Utd fan would have dared to wager on a 4-1 scoreline.

Caught EYE FOR A GUY yesterday, it was such a turn off. No wonder Singaporean guys really c.m.i. It's Denise Keller! She's an international superstar, so treat her like an international superstar! You can't even pronounce Depeche Mode, and your favourite song is 'about a girl'. Hahaha. Tell me, how many songs are not about a girl?

Indulged in the Skillet Cookie Crumble and the Jonathan Apple Crumble at Tony Romas. You've gotta try it, all you peeps who have a sweet tooth. It's so sinful, I've gotta confess soon. The guys from Eye for a guy need to take DK there man.

THE GOOD: Like after so many years, Singapore finally decided to go ahead with the casino project. Two to be specific! I almost flipped when I heard the news at 3. Yes, so all those in hospi, tourism, and business school, let's have a celebration. Guys, you won't be jobless in 2009 when you come out of NS, cos this project is expected to bring 35,000 jobs. You can't be that suay, if you are, you were probably retrenched by some budget airline, so listen to the guru and hop on to a full service airline before it's too late. Gals, you can slowly wait a few years after you get the diploma. Enjoy life while you can.

THE BAD: Ok locals, if you don't already know, the entrance fee is a whopping S$100. That's like 5 times the cover charge of Zouk. That's like almost twice the entrance fee of Burj Al Arab Hotel Dubai. So for those who intend to game there, start saving now. Let's say if you intend once a week, that works out to $24,000 per year. I repeat: start saving!

Said Fong Hoe Fang from the Family Against The Casino Threat In Singapore: "They have listened and considered the issue, yes. But it is still a shame and a pity that for 40 years we said 'no' and now we blinked. Most Singaporeans would close ranks now, it's in their nature. In the 21st century, we can't afford to live in such a rigid society and depend on the Mandai Zoo and Sentosa to boost tourism. Gambling isn't an addiction in Singapore anyway! Use your efforts to promote a non-smoking campaign instead, and I will rally for that.

Ok it's quite a retard entry, but it's really a blessing to have 2 IRs. Can't wait can't wait..

Did I ever mention, I absolutely cannot stomach Chinese cuisine. The more delicate it is, the more I detest it. So it makes me sick seeing a long snaking queue outside Din Tai Fung at Tampines Mall every day and I almost fainted in the lift when I saw the poster "Rated one of the top 10 restuarants IN THE WORLD". Obviously my tastebuds beg to differ. Anyway, the issue is that I can't stand xiao long baos. Small dragon buns. Whether it's from Crystal Jade Taka or this wow-so-great Din Tai Fung, it doesn't appeal to me. It's like the most bland food in the world, some doughy flour on the outside and disgusting meat soaked in the inside. In a nutshell it makes me wanna puke. Serious.

Anyway, it's a nightmare being the only one in the family who has such sentiments. So I have no say when it comes to tonight's joint birthday celebration for my bro and mum. Beijing La Mian at Esplanade. Did I also mention, la mian is the worst form of noodles any chef could ever create. It's so spicy, it's like eating from a laksa selller who needs to clear his chilli stock before it turns bad. Ok yes I love spicy food but that's too way over man. So I ordered a Hot and Spicy la mian, then I realised, hey! We could cross-order from other restuarants (THANK YOU ESPLANADE) Yeah so flipped through the menus from Thai and Jap, then deicided on garlic resturant's speciality noodle and cancelled by la mian. Haha, guess what. My food was the last to arrive. In fact, it arrived when everyone else finished theirs, and it was distastefully distasteful. And what's left on the table was a whole host of xiao long baos staring at me as if saying "EAT ME EAT ME". Ok fine I ate one. Ooh. It's like food suicide for me.

Alright the bottom line is, eat jap, thai or western food. That's all.

3 weeks gone, it dawned on me that internship starts next week! BUT still no email from the airport manager. I wonder if he forgot about us. And with airport pass taking 2 weeks to make, I'm sure if we eventually do start next week it will be very troublesome changing for the visitor pass everyday. Sulk. And I seriously miss the airport so much I'm having withdrawal symptons. Argh. I miss Popeyes Chicken and mashed potato. I miss the mama nasi goreng, duck rice, vadai, bird's nest drink, nasi ayam goreng at the canteen. I miss AlHamra Mediterranian cuisine at the Departure Hall. I miss the Macs in transit. I miss quarelling with the immigration and customs officers. I MISS THEM.

Been out a lot lately. Tuesday was Sound of Music at The Esplanade, it wasn't the best play I have watched. too much narration I guess. And the songs are obviously not my era as usual. Doe a deer a female deer. Yes.

Wednesday was HTM dinner and dance. My outfit turned out more Juston Timberlake than Sly. Eh, no diff lah. It's not like you can distinguish 50 cent from Ja Rule. Anyway, you know I have lots of criticism when it comes to splashing 60 bucks and not getting 60 bucks outta the night. But I'll save it lest I get blasted. Will get the pictures soon.

Went for another round of mahjong at Hc's house, today's feng shui much better for me. If I played money, could have won a lot. Almost all pay max all the time man. But nvm of course I'm not so money-minded. I'm so addicted to tiles.

Ok it's kinda weird putting this so public, but after MSN with kailing, it makes me wonder, how come it's so easy to hook up someone at Zouk and 1 week later tell me you're single again, because the guy doesn't want you. Kailing, got plenty of guys out there whoa, many will want you lah. Maybe try the younger guys at Black instead LOL. Sorry can't have me cos I love your greatest enemy ZHANGWEI. wahaha.

Ok yesterday night was another round at the chalet. Hai all thanks to some 'feng shui' that Sarah believed it made me lose a really hefty amount. Sarah Lim - Please channel all that feng shui into your TP test tomorrow. Tuesday night I want a free ride to the Esplanade.

I survived 2 weeks of holiday! And thankfully I still stand by my decision not to work in the CX office. They start extraordinarily early, and...

And all those still on holiday, treasure it. I'm sure you will relish waking up just in time for lunch, sleeping when broad daylight is almost 40 winks away, and having a diet concentrated with sugar and carbohydrates. So do remind me of this entry if I have diabetes 10 years down the road.

Not to mention loading myself with DVDs, last I caught just now was SAW. Ok, it's about trying to escape a killer by sawing yourself. Have I grossed you out?

Yawnz. Ok just woke up not long ago, gotta go off for Furong's BBQ later. Yesterday was really awesome, considering it's been ages since I've been to chalet. Went off to watch BOEING BOEING at night in Victoria, wahahaha. It was freaking funny. I shall watch it again soon. It's worth every penny, although I think it portrays SQ girls in a bad light and CX gals in a, hmm, brighter light. Which is obviously true. Haha. I told all of you CX rocks. Don't freaking compete with me lah LOL. Cabbed back to Downtown East with Iz, and it was the Mahjong table at once. Luck was on my side. I lost a measy $1.50 playing against the pros the whole night, and that's a huge achievement. Yeah. Went to bed at 4, but the music and all the hoohah playing blackjack didn't help me get much sleep. Anyway, I miss my bed. went home in the morning and slept till now. Ahhhh.

Oh yah freaking exams results only came 0058am this morning. TP sucks lah what sort of sms system is this. Make me panic the whole day. Basically I don't need to take supp, and that's all that matters. Year 3 people!

Ok, please don't get affected by the tagboard. I really didn't want to drag this issue publicly by blogging, but guess it's all open now. Anyway, we'll still be hoping! At least, I'LL still be hoping. But I'm gonna say this, don't do things that you'll regret. Because this is one big decision you will regret. If you put your heart to it.

Ok back to earth. Celebtrated adele and ash's birthday yesterday. And there's more to come, which reminds me I need to research if there was a baby boom in April 1986. Hmm. All the Aries flooding the Earth. Fast fact - Most singaporeans are born in October. Betcha din know that. Well we went Swensens, and the Sourdough 49s burger was horrendous, considering that's their house special. This sort of dish should be classified as a 'dog'. Think accounts. But their Apple Crumble was absolutely heavenly. Ooh. SAMARA after that. Please lah. It's not even scary. Ju-On can scare the hell outta Samara. Unless your name starts with A and ends with DELE, then you'll not be spooked by this show, and save your $7.50 for spongebob instead.

Oh yes, also made an unfruitful escapade to sentosa which rained while I was conoeing! And the waters at Sentosa is getting more horrid. That's pollution at its worst. Yikes.

And did I mention I just bought a nokia 7260! My other choices were way too ex for a phone without line, and even so this retard snake-lookalike isn't a beauty, in terms of looks and price. My only consolation is getting the white model, which I will shoot everyone who says the black is nice. You obviously got Z for studying 20th century fashion as your CDS this semester, because black and silver obviously match like how Patricia Mok is compatible to me. It's outrageous.

In any case, like Micheal Jackson said, it doesn't matter if you're black or white. Because I'm still as broke, so rob me. sarah, please rob me. I'm suffering from post-Distinctly-Bold-syndromes just like your 7270 purchase. We should set up a donate-to-the-new-phone-buyers-fund. So rob me. I've like spent my life savings at Bangkok, quit my job, and bought an expensive phone. Crap if this goes on, the Singapore economy will improve and CGH will have 1 extra patient.

I'm plucking up my courage to watch SAW..

I'm still being plagued by nightmares. It's really scary. Not only are those 'monsters' robbing you of a peaceful sleep, when you wake up you wonder what's the significance.

Ok cos of that, and the rain I got up at 10.45, which was the time I'm supposed to meet weiling and the rest for kboxing. Second time this week whoa. Didn't really have the mood leh. And the English songs really suck anyway.

Next stop was Far East, which I got an apparel for my dinner and dance in 2 weeks' time. Hee shan't reveal what it is. Cos my identity is still a secret. Saw one of my ex-classmates working at Hollywood secrets. Whoa her transformation is immense. From a shy and quiet girl into a ........
Hmm.

Had dinner at NYDC-again. Order some vegetarian rice crap. Suck man. Except my drink haha. Ok then went Indoor stadium meet my brother. He got Avril tickets. It's the shortest concert I've ever been. Like only an hour or so. No encore. And her songs were like, ok lor. But honestly I'm better off just buying the DVD and blasting it. It's the same.

Went for supper at Newton with my mum. She just came back from Bangkok. Spent like a mad woman as usual. Can't blame lah. The things there so cheap. Besides the stupid Tiger Airways flight. Damm those LCCs.

Dad is also back from Msia and he's bugging me to get a new phone. Hmm.
