Man, I'm so scared of flying after seeing this video. Please watch it. ACTUAL footage of a crazy woman (shown on channel 5 news) when she missed her flight! Oh my gosh!

*Thanks Jules for showing this.

You know, I think I'm gonna do that is my flight to Bangkok gets cancelled.

Some updates of yet another hectic week.

Tuesday night was bi-weekly soccer kickabout with my army friends. Timmy insists that we take photos for every session and upload it onto facebook. So unglam. 15 sweaty guys.

Today I found out that one of my colleagues share the same birthday as me, and that's very exciting for me because I don't know anyone else that does! I have friends who were born a day before or after me but never on the same birthdate. The first question I asked him was a question which I never had an answer - which is my horoscope, because it clashes with the last day of Scorpio and the first day or Sagittarius. He said something about being in the middle of 2 horoscopes and that's called 'caspian'. Hahahaha. I am Prince Caspian from Narnia! Anyway I don't give a shit about horoscope because I don't believe in it.

Anyway yesterday I managed to catch Valkyrie with Terence.

If you thought Benjamin Button was rocking good, just like I thought, then Valkyrie is definitely a million times better. I never ever imagined I would like a war movie, maybe Pearl Harbour and Australia come close but those were 80% love stories anyway. Valkyrie was just phenomenal, and I'm not referring to the cock-eye Tom Cruise. The whole plot is so fascinating and it keeps you on the edge of your seat, just like how I feel whenever I watch Prison Break! All those Adolf Hitler stuff isn't so boring after all!

Watching a National Geographic program now called Sudden Death. Missed the times when I could just slack at home all day and watched Nat Geo and Discovery Channel. THOSE WERE THE DAYS.

Anyway this show is quite interesting, about how guys are suddenly dying in this part of Thailand in their sleep. The doctors checked all of them and found no trace of ill health, and their hearts just stopped. Apparently it is attributed to this widow ghost who will haunt the guys at night and suffocate them, so that she can be with someone, as she's desperate for a husband. So what the men do before they sleep at night is dress up as a woman, like wearing lipstick and a night gown, so as to fool the widow ghost.

Eeww. Creepy!

Here are some shots of my totally zany class. Just 3 more weeks and we'll be out of here, flying around the whole of Australia and Asia and being a waiter/waitress/toilet cleaner/plumber/fireman/polieman/crowd controller/safety officer/doctor/nurse or whatever you want to call us on board.

Spot me if you can!

So because of our high stress levels, some of them organised a movie outing at Downtown East yesterday night, a midnight screening of THE CURIOUS CASE OF BENJAMIN BUTTON. Of course I couldn't say no. Been so deprived of movies these past few weeks.

Photobucket

And oh my gosh, the movie is freaking 3 hours long. After just 30 minutes I was almost down and out, but considering what a great movie this is, it was impossible to fall asleep. I haven't watched all the Oscar-nominated movies yet but I'm really hoping to see this win. (at least it's TONNES better than that stupid slumdog show!) Such an endearing and heartwarming show and I don't think I have ever seen Brad Pitt deliver a better showing than this. The last few moments when he died was just so heart-wrenching I thought I was going to wail like the baby in the show too! Definitely one of the best movies I have ever watched.

Haven't played any soccer in almost a month as well! Gosh I need to bring out my boots soon.

Today I went for an eye check prior to prescribing my new glasses and I was led to an amazing revelation by the optometrist. My left eye can actually see better than my right eye now! The degree is down and the vision is improving rapidly, so much that it's even close to perfect! (50 degrees)

Lesson learnt? Screw lasik. Just go for cornea transplants and you'll have perfect eyesight in no time.

Alright yesterday night at Zouk was another amazing revelation of a drink called 'Shirley Temple'.

Yeah, like finally, a non-alcoholic mocktail after so many years. Pity they don't serve it in a jug. Screw pineapple juice. I've had so much over the past 5 years, that if I'm stranded on an island, I'll just take some of my hair, plant it in the ground and a pineapple tree will evolve in 6 seconds and we would have a pineapple feast and we'll finally evacuate on board the pineapple express.

And some raunchy photos on the screen. I don't know what Zouk is thinking. Disgusting.

Here's a very interesting article, particularly if you are a Newcastle fan. Please don't wear your jersey to the zoo.

Photobucket

Yet another reason why I loathe animals. The zebra is damm stupid. Her mate should have 4 legs but the human only has 2 legs, can't it recognise? What a stupid way to die. Getting killed by a zebra because it mistook him for its mate.

I want to adopt a zebra.

Saturday was the 28km bikeathon through the Eastern Park connectors.

I don't think cycling is my cup of tea as well! Ended up feeling very very sore!

Mahjong thereafter at my place. When you're all shagged out after cycling 28km and all your tiles are just crap, we just kept snapping at each other and throwing the chips in disgust after losing. Not exactly very loving on a day when we're all suppose to show love right? LOL!

Went to visit Andrew on Sunday with Yuwei. Didn't know he moved to Tan Tock Seng as we couldn't find him in All Saints! Glad that he's recovering well and he can recognise and say our names! And we helped him read one 8 days article all by himself as well!

After that it was to the airport to send James and Aaron off.

How time flies! Doesn't it seem like only yesterday when we were still in poly and livin la vida loca. And doesn't it seem like only yesterday when all 3 of us were cooped up in the Singapore Grand Prix office till the wee hours of the morning and surviving on red bull. And not to mention the funky after parties where I drank the Mumm Champagne like water and the post-party where all got high and did the 'CFM' poses.

Well take care and have fun down under!

Monday was the Straits Times forum session where all the forum writers gathered to meet the editors.

Pretty informative, but we could have saved the lame Q & A session for another time. I don't need to come all the way to Toa Payoh and hear Singaporeans whining about why their letters were not chosen to be posted in the forum and how their views are important. Please, I don't pay 70 cents every day to read about your shitty views. If you really wanna air your views, just be like me and set up your own blog. Ta da! Not only Singaporeans but the whole world can see!

Terence caught hold of the chief editor and grinded him as well.

And of course, I won't attend any events unless there's food. Hahaha.

Photobucket

And on the topic of food, I just realised I haven't revealed the myth in the '25 random things about me'. So fyi people, I don't like wanton mee! It's always Nasi Lemak together forever and never to part! Yeah I'm going to treat myself Popeyes.

This blog is dying for a movie review but I just haven't got any time! I don't think I've ever starved myself for so long without movies and it's killing me! 3 assessments on Thursday so I guess my Wednesday is BURNED =X
