Alrighty, Dec 2 - Dec 8: Off to Malaysia! Which means no Singapore Idol post Sylvester win syndrome, no clubbing on Friday, no Zouk Out, no Mel's birthday, no preparation for school, no work for 2 weeks, and best of all, absent from lectures for 3 days

Ok, that's WORST of all

Singapore Idol tomorrow, yup, really hyped up. And it's still so frustrating to see so many people rooting for Tau Pok. Oh gosh, if he ever sings on World Idol, I'll proudly declare I'm a Malaysian. That's how much I loathe his singing.

You rock man Sylvester. I'm all behind you !

Ok caught POLAR EXPRESS today so erase the shivers of Shutter. Yup, succesfully it did. Really heartwarming story of Christmas. Go watch it. No better time than now, just a month before Xmas.

Happy 18th birthday Weiling! I'll get drunk on vodka tomorrow.

Warning!

the movie SHUTTER

-is not for the faint-hearted; literally
-should be rated minimum M18 for ghastly images
-should not be watched at 9.55pm, lest the possibly of taking a cab back home alone
-must not be watched alone, but in a group. MUST
-is best watched seated behind where the cringing sound effects is minimally heard
-must not be watched prior to a bangkok holiday
-is not suitable for novice photographers
-has freaked the living daylights out of jermaine tan

As Sarah says, the photo with Sly is gonna be so valuable after he wins Singapore Idol on Wednesday.

GO SLY! I'M ALL BEHIND YOU!

MAMA MIA was alright. Let's just say I was the youngest in the crowd, so it was hard to appreciate all those rubbish 70s music. Except a few tunes which were made famous by ATeens, the others were just too ridiculous. What sorta song is 'Chikachitta'? And the 'money money money' song was just too lame. Oh my. Another Bride and prejudice in the making. Sat 2nd row, and my mum really regretted spending so much. Cos this is a case of 'you can see too much'. And your view is super huge, it ain't nice man. But anyhoots great experience.

Alright, the photos still won't show up on the stupid blog man. I posted them all, and only the links show. I DESPERATELY NEED HELP. All this blog needs is photos! And there's not even a single one on it!

PSLE results: Ok my brother did slightly worse than expected, just enough to scrape through to SHSS express and throw his VS dreams into the dustbin. My tuition kid barely passed and made into N(A) stream, which was enough to send her parents into delirium and invite me over for dinner, which I politely refused. Anyhoots they want me to continue teaching her in Sec1, which i will have to seriously re-consider. Unless my Psycho CDS gives me nuts.

No time to club!

You're still you
After all
You're still you..

Yet again working real late in the airport. Anyway, SENTOSA was great yesterday. Absolutely fabulous, so much that I wanna go there every week to tan, swim and vball. Met real early to eat at Seah Im food court, which serves the most glorious and unhealthy food in the world. But who cares? turning 18 means my immunity is stronger! Ok did nothing at Siloso but swim and soccer, then when more came we moved to Palawan. Swam swam and swam again in the lovely sea. Played with the ridiculous slide and hurled Adele off the platform man haha. Oh yes, had a round of vball, which I must play more often because it's getting real rusty. (IZ: we MUST go back shss soon) Met this real friendly Canadian dude Steve who showed off his sort-of impressive vball skills, but in the end his towering height was enough to conquer any team.

Headed off to Seah Im for another round of unhealthy food, then to PS for BRIDE AND PREJUDICE. Oh my gosh. it's an absolutely lamer show. Like have you ever seen a lamer show? It's so lame, I forgot how to laugh. So unless you are a lamer, and a loser, just give this a pass.
As Gloria Estefan says, the music is going to get you. Real bad.

Cheers! to 18!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!!!!

Yes. Finally. After months of waiting. Which seemed like years of waiting. I've finally hit that magical number man. I'm so in love with my i/c now! It's like so brand new. Unused. No more passports. No more illegal drinking. No more interrogation from bouncers. it's hell for them now! Especially that Chinablack guy. I won't forget man. And it's hello to driving too! Oh gosh can't wait to start my dad's Audi.

Bahh. And the bad news is that I'M STILL AT WORK! Probably knock off at 1. But the airport is so quiet now man. Haven't seen this side of airport at 1am. It's uniquely quiet. So peaceful. Blogging by myself. But i'll be back home soon. And i have to be up early tomorrow! oops. today!

Alright thanks everyone! :)

OLINDA CHO...is gone.

Hai, so left with only 2 guys. TAUFIK BATISA and SYLVESTER SIM. Oh crap so it's all-female fanclub for both of them. Seems like it's gonna be an inetresting finals.

But for now, Don't cry for me Argentina.................

CHINABLACK was pretty good I would say. After all, the thrill of illegal clubbing has actually maxed out this time, just being 5 days short of slapping my i/c at the bouncer. So getting in was really nerve-racking, standing and waiting, heart pounding, palms sweating. In the end that female bouncer was so nice! Too nice to be true. She was like 'Ah whatever' and just got us in. Anyway some gals behind us without i/c could get in too.

The clubbing part itself was tiring. Lesson learnt: never club when I'm working in the morning. It's like so freaking tiring and drains all the energy away, think I looked like a dead fish. Met Mandy and Ling, so they cut queue with me and Fan, then Chy and Ryl came later. Music was good. Britney was good. Techno was rubbish. Yeah that's about it. Didn't fulfill my 12 hours of sleep after that. Sigh. Zzz

Oh crap IZ is gone !

For 3 weeks. To the US of A. So no more midnight mahjongs. No more pool. No more movies. No more MSN. No soccer. No badminton.

And we couldn't even meet for breakfast. SQ 12!! So freaking early.

And after his finish, I can't decide where I wanna go for SIP. Maybe I should try F & B. Like head chef or something. Being in the service line is routine and mundane.

Bah I'm like so tired woke up at 5.30. Off to club later. Hopefully not a repeat of last week.

Zzz

I'M BACK

Selemat Hari Raya everyone oh gosh it's been so painful at work. Painfully boring! Iz dropped by today again for Popeye's in the afternoon the chicken rocks to the socks max man I don't mind eating that for the rest of my life forever other than that it's just sleeping all the wayz. And Hari Raya at Shasha's house this year, much the same like last year. Just that this time, I didn't go alone. Lontong rocks to the socks too. Saw this pet shop while walking past Parkway OH FREAK THE RABBITS WERE SOOOOOOOOOO CUTE!!! SOMEBODY BUY 1 FOR ME!!!!

(and a knife)

BIRTHDAY WISH LIST 2004

-A cute dog, not so playful. Disciplined one
-A large German Shepherd. House robberies are on a rise.
-Sausage dog! Looks so retarded man haha
-Or a cat, Persian cat. (Bo Si Mao)
-Hamsters! Damm cute sia.
-Guinea Pig also can! My last one died because I didn't feed it!
-Fish! Maybe Nemo, or luohan
-Rabbits are adorable! The small white ones
-A knife

Ok, here's something that's gonna make everyone go green with envy (apparently it already has), but I took a photo with SYLVESTER SIM, TAUFIK, OLINA CHOO CHOO and the recently ousted DAPHNE KHOO.

Alright, I guess it was only Sylvester that mattered, but who cares lol. Bah will try to upload the photos. I'm kinda ugly looking in all of them. Crap man. Next up, it's Florence Lian!

As usual, the live show was same as the previous one. Seated un-strategically behind Daphne's E, which didn't really help the poor girl who couldn't do the best impression of the ever sexy Tata Young and a weak Chinese song. The other 3 performed well, so I guess there's no disputing this week's results.

Oh yes, my MAHJONG is improving. Soon, we shall play $$$

Friday, November 12, 2004

Hey! Happy Deepavali! To all! Bah. And Hari Raya is coming. So sad that I have to work on PHs. But it's great, because the airport is zombified. Like who on earth travels. And the computers are empty, so here I am blogging at work again. Oh gosh work is boring boring boring there's nothing to do.

Hmm oh yes I must send my birthday wishes, due on November 10. Firstly, to SARAH LIM. Yes, alright, you've finally hit it! Now you're older than me, counting down to 19, feeling so adult, slapping your i/c at the bouncers. So enjoy 18, while you continue to wait for my turn. Haha.

ZOUK was rubbish. Absolutely a horrendous experience. Shoo. Get outta my head.

Oh, Happy 17Th birthday to Denyse too! So someone's same age as me already! (not for long)

Ok more blogging later.

*yuwei*: please take good care! Hope you recover well!

Was out at Orchard yesterday. I seriously hate Orchard on Saturday nights. It's like the whole of Singapore is there man. Everywhere is freaking packed. Couldn't even eat my KFC meal inside man. Caught the Nokia 'distinctively bold' model show with Nicole. The Nokia phones are hot man. But I don't like them haha. There's this new model that doesn't even have a keypad. Everything works like the i-pod, you gotta twirl the centre to scroll. Which means it's gonna take 10 years to send an sms. No way.

Cineleisure was worse! There was a movie premiere, so can't get the evening tickets at all. Herad the Singapore Idols were there again. Those idols should get a life man. Although it's not their fault that they have to do all these promo stuff though. Bah. In the end I painstakingly ran through a pathetic movie list with the ushers and finally settled with DE-LOVELY at 9.35pm. Front row. What a great musical! Robbie Williams sound absolutely stunning man! He should do more musicals! It's a good show, maybe slightly draggy, but at least I realise I could appreciate musicals. That use pop stars.

Hmm today woke up at 12.30 then went TM with my dad. I finally bought my i-pod cover! Been searching everywhere for a nice one. Even went to measure the casings! Was stuck at 77th street for a long time, then finally got a nice black one. I was convinced it was too small actually so had a little chao jia with the staff there. Cos mine is not the i-pod mini. Even after buying it I was so so sure it couldn't fit but the girl kept insisting can. Bah. In the end, I just tried on, fits nicely. Haha.

Caught SHARK TALE in a full-house cinema. Got seats fourth from bottom, and I told myself it's gonna be too difficult, so my dad decided to just grab the back seats. No one took it anyway. The show was alright though, it can't beat Finding Nemo for sure. The kids were so noisy man. And every 5 minutes someone was going to the toilet so the back door kept opening and closing. Quite frustrating man. Ah go catch the show anyway.

Now just gotta figure out how to use the damm i-pod. I spent my whole life savings on it and all I did after buying it is charge the battery. Sigh.

I'm still trying to get people for ZOUK OUT! Please tag if interested. Dec 4-5

Friday, November 05, 2004

So in the end, it was GEORGE BUSH. So that's what all the hype is about. All over the world people are interested to know who's gonna lead America. But it doesn't matter for us does it? Maybe in a indirect way, somehow, yes, some policies will affect us but I'm not sure if it's worth all the whoo-ha in Singapore.

So yesterday, finally went for the long-awaited Singapore Idol show. Been so caught up with work every Thursday man, so decided that today I must go! It's R & B night! My aunt managed to sneak us all into the front, behind the ever-enthusiastic and childish fans of Daphne Khoo. Yeah but they were pretty well-behaved, just that the huge E kept blocking my view man. The show itself, well, is what you'll see on tv. No hidden agendas, no ashlee-simpson-like-lip-synching, completely live, just that they obviously will sound better (or worse) live. Which means, I heard first hand what an insulting rendition of Rock Your Body from Sly and a heart-wrenching Celine Dion ballad from DK. And when Doug O keeps mentioning about pitch problems, yup, it's really true, some idols do have that problem. But anyhoots I couldn't figure most of the other songs. I mean it's like 1960s talentime or something haha.

Well after the show there was a post-party at Newsroom bar, so headed off to Muhd Sultan at 9+. The party was so boring! All those boring 8 days readers only came to see Sly! But I managed to catch the idols upfront, and someone mentioned that I was tugging at Leandra. Haha. Trying to get a glamour shot I think! But failed! Anyhow we left early in the end.

And it'll be an interesting results show later :)

DID I MENTION IT'S ALREADY NOVEMBER??

It's the best month of the year. Cheers!

For one, I've got a slight pay rise. As if I'm being underpaid.

And......

Nvm.

If you're free, do come down to Changi airport terminal 1 to have lunch with me. We'll have the greatest lunch you'll ever eat - POPEYE'S NEW ORLEANS FRIED CHICKEN. There's only 1 in the whole of Singapore (I think) and it rocks so good, the queue stretches for miles everyday. As Iz will testify for me.

ZOUK OUT
(Everyone says it's the greatest party in Singapore)
(I wonder why)
(It's a good time to find out why)
(because it's just a day before my stress level goes back to normal)
(The start of a new term!)
(And the temptation of Siloso beach is too overpowering)
(And for convenience, maybe a night out at Rasa Sentosa)
(With complementary buffet breakfast)
(December 4-5 2005)
(Hey hey, anyone still 17?)
(Too bad then.)
(for the rest......)
( Don't forget me!)

By the way, I won't count that as clubbing, so those people who still think I'm a mad obsessive clubber, back off. Because dancing to Spice Up Your Life in Siloso beach is such a kiddo thing to do. That ain't clubbing.

That's dancing

Just received an e-mail from Jeff. Thought it'll be nice to post it here. Kinda like a crappy joke. But the moral of the story is DON'T LIE. And Professors are called professors because they have brains.
