Ok it's the dreaded day. O LEVEL RESULTS. My brilliant cousin has 11 points. Not as brilliant as my bro though, but far more brilliant than me! Yes my mum has to rub it in. But here I am rotting in TP. When my whole family went to all the top JCs. Ha anyway the irony is that my mum also wanted me to go poly so badly. Sheesh. St Hilda's did badly. As usual every batch does badly. The top student from my batch was a Taiwanese. His English was A1. We Singaporeans need to work it more! But he's an exceptional guy no doubt. JEFF-u rock!

I think the Singapore education system needs a major revamp. The points system is being adhered too strcitly. Where's the damm flexibilty. You get D7 for Maths and you retake the whole crap subject again. Those who got C6 scrape through. And there ain't a mountain of difference between C6 and D7.

sheesh

JERMAINE TAN A SERIES OF UNFORTUNATE EVENTS. I'M VERY CONCERNED.

I can't believe Michael Jackson is going to jail. Billie Jean is gonna be so sad. What a thriller. His Neverland place is such a beauty man. (minus the animals)

Ok was at the airport yesterday to discuss the SIP terms with the CX manager. He's like so flexible. What sorta manager lets you choose when you wanna start work and when you want your off days to be. Buahaha. Ok unanimously, it would be weekends off and work commencing 25 Apr. Taking supp papers in mind just in case I kena. *ouch*

Went back to Tampines to meet some sec sch mates. Yes all dreading A level results. Ok using my intuition all of you would get A for GP, Maths and Chinese. You won't fail the other subjects. Period.

Decided on Cartel, but midway thrugh bounced out to Sakae instead. The tantalising sushi just melting in your mouth. They differentiate their sushi by saying their rice has Vitamin E. What a joke. It's like setting up a orange juice stall and saying my products have high Vitamin C. But it rocks anyway! Queued for almost 30 mins, then our ravage began. I ate 1000 plates of fried tofu and unagi. Yumz. Apparently the ordering via computer terminals was quite efficient until I pressed 'BILL'. Haha what a joke, luckily it was reversible.

CONSTANTINE was a bore.

Ok off for more projects. Left Airbiz presentation, the dubious honour of being the first group in the whole cohort to present on Monday. God bless Imperial Air. And psy presentation, I think the whole class hates my group. Everyone hates the HTM power wahaha.

Ok firstly, here's a weird guy-to-guy apology. Sorry Dan! For calling you fat! I mean that's the first thing that struck me after not seeing you for eons of years. But you should cut down on the Tiger, peanuts and clubbing. Your genes are going against you. And you wouldn't look great with a bulging belly. Don't be sad hor..I feel so guilty lol.

Went back to work yesterday after 2 weeks out, was totally unimpressed. The company is really getting from bad to worse. I mean the policies are getting more ridiculous and part timers like me are suffering like never before. So yah just trying to find the right time to really throw in the towel for good. The management is terrible, but the staff there are wonderful people who care a lot so that's what's keeping me going. So it's caught in the middle again.

But anyway will be doing my SIP in the airport so I will still see them for another year at least. For those who haven't got placements, try CAAS! Seriously, the airport is a wonderful place to work in. It's heaven in the transit area. You can practically sleep there overnight which some of my colleagues usually do. And survive comfortably! You won't starve cos there's an F&B outlet at every nook and cranny of the terminals. Shopaholics get to shop in transit and get DISCOUNTS. You can surf the Internet 24 hours FREE. You can watch movies 24 hours FREE. And the list goes on..

Get rockin.

Woo! Finally back again after a week. Been way too caught up in school and so many other stuff but great to finally be looking forward to the weekend clap clap. Firstly, great to know that CX has finally accepted me! So SIP is outta the way. Will be posted to the airport instead of their Raffles Place HQ. There are pros and cons, like being near my house, being familiar with the place, but working shift again and 6 days instead of 5. But it's a challenge I embrace, that I can take my mind off something for the time being. And my new colleagues will be Wilfred, Charlene, Charmaine, and Ryna. Hello airport.

Drea - Get your mind off CX and get into Ritz. Don't brood about it. All the best!

Another great news is that airline biz is finally done and submitted! Cheers to all tourism students. We made it. And kudos to especially my groupmate Nelson, who stayed up till 4am doing a video. I don't think I can sacrifice that amount of sleep for a project!

Helped out a little for open house today. HTM had better thank me for wasting so much saliva talking about the course. Saw this group of ah bengs approaching the booth and they asked me 'eh this course need how much to go in' and I said 'L1R4 about 17 liddat lah'. and they were like 'ok let's find another course'. BOO.

And it's back to more projects! And survivor. ciao

I AM SO GLAD VALENTINE'S DAY IS OVER.

Cos I don't have to see any more flowers. Yuck. Town was full of flowers today. There were like a kerzillion couples and the girls were carrying all sorts of ridiculous flowers. I wanted to go up to each and every one and crush their flowers. I hate flowers. Girls, why do you love flowers? They are artificial rubbish. You probably just plonk them in some corner at home upon receiving it, and the flower dies. Worst still, the flower you received is most probably dead. RIP. So what's with flowers? They suck!

Worst of all, people coming up to me asking me to buy flowers! If I had a knife I would stab them.

Guys, don't give flowers! I'm out to stop this trend. Seriously, there are millions of gifts out there. Why give some pathetic rose that is probably facing the death sentence? Give her ferrero rocher, or ovaltine biscuits, or big mac, or bak kwa, whatever. Just don't give girls some dead crap. It's absolutely nonsence.

Girls, why do you like flowers? I just can't understand why you like a dead plant. Would you feel the same if I give you a mimosa. Or pluck some grass. Or a leaf. They are all from the same species you know.

Oh yes, I created history. I BOUGHT TOTO. Was forced by my dad. He was so buoyed by the $10 million dollar prize that he was telling me everything he would do with the money. With that sort of liquidity, Ha. I would be the king of the world. I will buy all the flower shops in Singapore and convert them to restaurants serving dog and cat steak.

I find it very difficult to really act normal every CNY. Especially when you have masses of people distributing red packets and you have to put on a fake smile while receiving it. It's so abnormal. When you see relatives and cousins just once a year and you have to be on your best behaviour. Ha so much about the fun of CNY. Of course there's always the money collected, which I do the same every year, just plonk it into the bank to collect interest lest some act of God decide to hit Singapore. Which is quite unlikely but rainy days are sure to come.

Gambling is another abnormal activity, unless further down the road I'm confident enough to wager more on my mahjong. But in any case, the outcome is always losses on my P and L! Which is quite alarming when my mum reminded me I have never won in blackjack for the past few CNYs. It's quite a jinxed game for me.

Back to school yesterday, only 4 people came for the 9am airbiz discussion! 4 out of 70 tourism students! Am I mad or what.

Been getting a lot of advice on SIP saying I should send more resumes in case CX blatently axes me. Haven't really decided on other aspects besides airlines so it'll be hard :(

Had another catastrophic haircut yesterday!

Happy year of the rooster!

Yes, it's marvellous to have 2 days p.h. Because it's time to catch up on sleep!

Btw, those who sent your new year sms in Chinese, please don't bother. I can't read a single word at all. LOL

Anyway, yesterday was great. CATHAY PACIFIC CALLED! Yes. Like one person after another. Going for interview and presentation next week. Yes, quute unnerving to give a presentation during your first interview. I better get the job. Cos there's no backup plans for me. Drea, I hope they call you too man. I don't wanna work alone.

Went to town to watch ALFIE with dayana and wanyi. Movies like this are sucky man. M18 but should be R21. It's like watching Jude Law stripper show. Zzz

It's like a prawn without legs. LAME SIA.

After that went in search of presents, ended up shopping for myself instead. I'm seriously shopping like a girl.

By evening, town was like officially closed. It's so freaking dead, you could hear a pin drop. Only HMV and Borders were open. Was contemplating on buying some lousy books but I'm not so much of an avid reader nowadays.

My brother just gave me 2 ang pows! Ha. There's visitors downstairs and I'm rotting here blogging like nobody's business.

Anyway, reunion dinner last night was like, so normal. In the first place, I hate Chinese food, so to have a kerzillion courses of Chinese food didn't beguile my palate. yusheng this year tastes worse. Don't ask why. And the place was like packed to da max.

Ok better go off now. MAY I BLACKJACK 10 TIMES TODAY..

:)

Was at work yesterday, there was this banner at the departure hall that screamed NEW CHANGI RECORD: 30 MILLION VISITORS IN 2004!

And my boss can still tell me 'oh business is bad, we are cutting costs'. What crap. There's like millions of airlines coming in everyday and we can't get any business? Anyway I'm officially off work for almost 3 weeks, so those who approached me about the job, well business is really bad. I can testify. So until it picks up, my head could roll anytime.

And still no reply from CX and Valuair. Ok my deadline is extended to this Friday, since it's CNY. After that it's Plan B, which I have no idea what.

And of course CNY ! Anyone up for mahjong ?

My computer is under repair! So no itunes at the moment, have to make do on the laptop. Ok certain updates, 1st week back in school was really physically tiring. Had HTM Olympics the whole week, I'm so glad it's over. Really drained the living hell outta me. Never played so many days of soccer, man. Finished 3rd in the end. Could have been better if my initial team played :) Badminton was tough luck.

Visited the same cat-infested coffee shop for the whole week every night. I'M GOING TO KILL SOME CATS TONIGHT. Cat steak with mashed potatoes.

My neighbour Jane reminded me of something I did in the past: throwing a firecracker at her dog to chase it away. Haha. CNY coming eh. Round 2!

MEIT project is done and dusted. I'm not sure if we did a good job but it's OVER. Left with airbiz, pomster and psy.

SIP is driving me up the wall. My patience is wearing thin. Did CX file for Chpt 11 or what. I'm like probably the first one to send out my resume. What's up with these companies man. And Valuair? Probably too poor to even have telephones in the office to call me.

Oh yes I'm off work for 3 weeks. It's happy CNY for me.

ciaoz

Hey, it's been some time yah. Ok so it's back to school again. Projects are coming due one by one. And I'm still as indifferent as ever. What a crime. Had a round of HTM Olympics yesterday. Conquered both soccer and badminton one after another. Now I'm left with really cramped up legs and thighs. Round 2 is tomorrow! Gonna need all the energy I can get.

SIP is hell. No replies for the resumes I've sent. My deadline is this Friday. If not, it's PLAN B.

HOTEL RWANDA is not a bad movie. Worth watching, though I find it tad predictable. Kinda sad at times.

Dayana took me to Perlini Silver. Didn't know they sold men's ring. So freaking metro. Of course there was no intention to buy lah. My hand is just too odd for a ring. Although I'm not dumping that sylvester image...just as yet *winks*

I'm on a McDonald's diet now! It's twister fries, and Chicken prosperity all the way!
