Thank you to everyone for making my birthday a blast. I appreciate it.

So now I snap back to reality with a new addiction..

Aw! One of the best drama serials ever produced, it's so addictive that I'm so lagging behind in school work. I've projected myself to complete all 22 episodes in 15 days! Cos I rented it from Gramophone. It's on channel 5 every Thursday at 10, but if you start watching now on tv, it'll be episode 10, and you would have missed absolutely everything.

I'm such a tv addict.

Casino Royale is another one of those draggy long movies that keeps going on and on just when you thought the bad guys were killed. So, just a warning - the show is 3 HOURS. Don't try and act hero like me, catching the 9 pm show and trying to catch the last train home. Because you will defnitely need to take the ultimate killer transport - and pay midnight charge. Or maybe watch it on a weekend and head off to a club after that and get wasted.

Speaking about cabs, I don't understand why cab drivers are sooo chatty these days. Perhaps their mindset is now I'm charging more, so I should give my passengers good service.

Ok, good service to me is just driving at an acceptable speed to my destination via the shortest route. No need to talk to me and ask about my day. I know I'm very cold but I'm not very comfortable talking to strangers, especially cab drivers.

Worse still, when I'm taking cab for my despatches around army camps, they always like to taunt me about my rank.

'Eh, how come you no rank on your uniform ah?'

Yes. Thank you very much for making my day, cab drivers.

Mum bought me an early birthday present.

SONY ERICSSON K800i

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

It costs a whopping.....$13 !

M1 is so kind to reward her with so many vouchers because her handphone bill really max every month man.

And..it came with a free Tata Young CD!

All for just $13 !

Actually the phone comes with a free pair of showcase passes to watch Fish Leong, but, WHO IS FISH LEONG??

There was another promotion for the Tata Young showcase too, but it's all given out, so only left the CD.

Anyway, read the specs of the phone, think it really rocks, but I have no idea how to use! Yes, in case you are wondering, I'm one of those lifetime hardcore Nokia users, but Nokia has screwed up my life time after time, so no more Nokia!

Sony Ericsson is really complicated. I couldn't even send a proper sms. With Nokia, I could send 'where are you' within 0.123 seconds with my eyes closed.

With Sony Ericsson, I ended up sending this: 'where and what timE' in 1 whole minute.

I couldn't even figure out where's the question mark !?

3.2 megapixel camera, 3G video call, mobile blogging, mp3 player.....I have no idea how to use it.

Would some kind soul come to my house and give me a 1 hour tutorial lesson on 'how to use a sony ericsson phone'?

And the saddest part is, I can only use this phone on WEEKENDS.

Being a physically fit clerk has its fair share of drawbacks. Ever since I enlisted, many army officers and NSFs alike have been telling me all their stories and experiences in BMT, how they suffered in field camp, and above all, the camaraderie formed between their platoon mates in Tekong and that you-die-we-die bond..

How they endured the pain of booking in every sorry Sunday, waking up at unearthy hours for 5BX, surviving on distasteful ration, being punished by sergents for the slightest of mistakes, ensuring long hours in push-up positions..

And after all their stories, I always hear the same thing. That I should have gone through the whole BMT experience because it was an experience of a lifetime.

I have heard this over and over again......

So let me just say once and for all:

1) I did experience Tekong for 5 days 4 nights
2) I did made a lot of friends that I'm still in contact with
3) I did get punished as a section for things I didn't do
4) I did go through one of the best experiences of a lifetime

And Tekong will be etched in my memory for a long while now because like everyone else, it marked the end of my temporary civilian life and the start of serving the nation.

So for all who have views that my induction BMT wasn't fruitful, I beg to differ. It was an awesome time there, I've learnt so much, made wonderful friends, so it's just a matter of the differences in training that we go through. Similiarly, a Pes A recruit would definitely have gone through more than a Pes C recruit.

And NO, I will definitely not upgrade my Pes status just to go through a 'real' BMT to prove that I am as worthy as anyone else.

Not forgetting, wishing SARAH LIM a Happy 20th birthday!
Being 17 seems like ages ago already huh.

And we're the only one's that around,

I CANNOT BELIEVE THAT XIAXUE THINKS SHE IS THE HOTTEST BLOGGER AROUND.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

THAT'S BECAUSE OF WHAT DAWN YEO SAID:

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Ok, first things first, I'm not saying that Dawn Yeo is hot or anything. Cos she isn't. Not the slightest bit.

BUT COMPARING XIAXUE WITH DAWN YEO ?

Like I always tell Mel, when she wants me to compare, it's like soccer. This is literally a 5-0 trashing! With Michael Owen scoring a hat trick!

I want to stress I don't find Dawn Yeo hot, it's just the best of the worst sort of scenario.

This is what Xiaxue wrote:

Dawn was the hottest.

And the keyword is WAS, because she is OCTOBER'S hottest, not the current hottest, is she now?

The hottest is me and nobody can fight that, because I stay in a bloody 3-room Teban Gardens flat with no aircon, and have super long and thick hair extensions and cotton pjs.

If she's really the hottest then I obviously need another cornea transplant.

Not as if I'm really a big fan of her trashy blog but I did a presentation on blogging last week in class and I found out I don't really know much about these local bloggers and that's not very informative for a mass comm student. Like I didn't even know about that infamous WEE SHU MIN girl being the most googled girl on the net due to her blog comments.

But really, reading xiaxue's blog really makes my blood boil.

1. She's thinks she's the hottest blogger
2. She thinks she has the hottest boyfriend
3. She thinks her mahjong is yi liu
4. She writes 10,000 word blog entries criticising aunties for putting parsley in her food

and the list goes on..

Everybody, join me in reading ihatexiaxue.blogspot.com !

I remembered sometime last week while attending an event at Sembawang Camp, my dad called from China for the first time in almost 6 months for the most insignificant reasons - he wanted me to help him buy Toto. Was there like a $12 million jackpot or something? Anyway, he wasted a large sum of my phonebill trying to explain to yours truely how the Toto system works because I have never gambled on Toto before, and in the end I had to ask him to text the entire bet to me.

Back at Singapore Pools, I read out the entire text message and the total bet amount, and the aunty was like 'Whoa that's quite detailed eh'

'Ya lah, I never buy Toto before leh'

'Why not? Give it a try lah!'

'Hmm no lah, I don't believe in such things'

'Huh! Why? You don't believe in winning? How you know you won't win? Just try your luck lah....'

'Ah nono never mind lah if my dad wins he will give me some of the winnings!'

Sigh. The vices that I am exposed to.

Let us not wallow in the valley of despair, I say to you today, my friends. And so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal."

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character. I have a dream today!

I have a dream that one day, down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of "interposition" and "nullification" -- one day right there in Alabama little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers. I have a dream today!

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, and every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight; "and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together." This is our hope, and this is the faith that I go back to the South with.
