So yes, yet another long break off my old dusty blog! On 5 days off now so a little bit of a breather. Worked through the entire CNY so that was quite sucky, but I had Christmas and New Year off so can't complain much. You can't have everything right. It's a hugely stressful period for me now as I'm taking my annual recency exam next week so I've been mugging everyday. Just wanna get over and done with it, then I can just concentrate on going back to flying for the entire year.

But anyway, busy or not, buddy gang CNY reunion went ahead as usual. Started extremely late on a Sunday night and missing Kunnie this year who is probably rendezvous-ing with a hot Mexican chick as we speak, but the show must go on.

Decided to try in-between this year and a game not for the faint-hearted. Was hoping we could see someone sign a cheque but alas, not this year I guess haha.

2 weeks before, had free tickets to Universal Studios and brought Yan Yan and Sarah with me to Singapore's only magical land!

Obviously, having just returned from the real Universal Studios in Orlando, my expectations were very high. I'm talking about THE Universal Studios, where I pay hundreds of dollars to queue and go in as compared to a pathetic $67/entry theme park in Sentosa. That's a huge comparison.

Not forgetting, my beloved Battlestar Galactica wasn't even opened!

Yes, as I write now, Battlestar has just opened. But what a waste! I had VIP access so I could have cut queue if it were opened then!

Final verdict - very straightforward decision, it's not worth it.

I have seen the real thing, so this one is really disappointing. I'm planning to go to the Osaka one later this year when I have much more time on my KIX trips, but as it stands, the Singapore one is just a waste of time and money. Look, if you're gonna build a proper Universal Studios, don't hold back. This one in Singapore closes at 8pm, while the one in US has shows and parades going all through midnight!

But anyway, my advise is go only if you have free tickets or something. I wouldn't really wanna pay for this shit, hahaha.
