Msn-ing with caleb now, he's o-siping in Sydney. Boy everyone's having a great osip, wonder why I didn't go and instead coop myself up in some airline. Anyway, he has watched the australian league there, saw Dwight Yorke played horribly, and went for Hillsongs concert. Woo hoo. Can't imagine the crowd man. Happy Halloween there!

Back to school today for dubai briefing. It's a whopping $2,068 supposed to be paid today, guess what, my dad doesn't even know. Haha. When he return from KL he will be numbed and shocked to the max. Only got 1 more week to pay! And great to see Nelson, who's certainly became more funky and slang-y. Look what Amsterdam did to him -_-

Anyway, Happy Halloween! Off for trick or treat

It's the end!!

GOODBYE CX!

Think I'm gonna miss so many things about the airport!
-popeyes, canteen food like my regular bird's nest, salmom rice, warong java nasi, gelare on tuesdays
-the screaming and unreasonable passengers
-the long walks to the office to and from the counter
-the burning tarmac and freezing departure room
-ah just so many things

not forgetting, my wonderful colleagues!! more pics to come =)

This is the night//Clay aiken

Coming to an end this week had been so much harder than I expected. Of course, it's been a long 6 or 7 months, and I still can't wait to get out, but when you're so attached to something for so long, a part of you still feels nostalgic all over. So it's farewell every single day to many different colleagues. Cos most are on off and leave after that already, won't be seeing them. It's a big company, and you have to live with that! Been takings tons of ridiculous photos and got some very lovely parting gifts and notes. Hmm, aren't I supposed to be the one giving? Maybe.

STUDENT DIES IN GOAL CELEBRATION

MORRIS, Minn. - A 20-year-old University of Minnesota-Morris student was killed Saturday when football fans rushed onto the field and pulled down a goal post at the end of the school's homecoming game.

Richard Thomas Rose, of Benton City, Wash., was pronounced dead at a hospital after attempts to revive him on the field failed, school officials said. No one else was hurt.
Minnesota-Morris Chancellor Sam Schuman said it was not immediately clear how Rose died. "I think the presumption is that (his) death was caused by a blow from the goal post," he said.

Ok, that's very sad. That explains why people like me don't celebrate after scoring. LOL. So all you Michael Owens out there, you better keep it low.

I've been a couch potato all week clearing up all my DVDs at home, this one's a great movie I tell you.

A LOT LIKE LOVE

Yes starring Punk'd Ashton Kutcher. It's the second time I've watched this. I hardly remember the first time I did, probably snoozing away during a midnight movie a couple of months ago with I-dunno-who, but whoa. When you really dig in and watch it, one of the better romantic chick flicks, can't believe I was close to tearing at the ending. What the heck. It's ASHTON KUTCHER. You tear at his terrible antics, not when he's proposing.

Missed loads of movies quite recently, but I'll be up in Shenzhen or KL soon I reckon, time to stock up!

On another note, I've been unfairly swapped to work the afternoon shift next thursday, but Zouk re-opens MAMBO on wednesday! Hmmmm. I see all you clubbers thinking...what am I doing on Wednesday night?? And then you quickly switch the song on your PC to 'Summer Rain' or 'Square Rooms'..

hahahahha

IT'S THE MONTH OF THE SCORPION!

SCORPIO: OCT23 - NOV22

Beneath a controlled, cool exterior beats the heart of the deeply intense Scorpion. Passionate, penetrating, and determined, this sign will probe until they reach the truth. The Scorpion may not speak volumes or show their emotions readily, yet rest assured there's an enormous amount of activity happening beneath the surface. Excellent leaders, the Scorpion is always aware. When it comes to resourcefulness, this sign comes out ahead.

Friends and Family
Sincerity and truth are strong components of the Scorpion's friends. It can take some time before really close bonds are formed, but once done, the Scorpion will remain dedicated and loyal. Witty and intellectual, they prefer companions who are humorous and easygoing. Full of surprises, this sign will give you the shirt off their backs if that's what you need; yet, once they are crossed, there's no turning back. They feel deeply, and once hurt, it can be impossible to turn things around. Commitment to family is strong and consistent with the Scorpion. They are exceptionally helpful in managing affairs, and they are excellent advocates when one is needed.

Career and Money
"I desire" is the key phrase for the Scorpion. They are fantastic at managing, solving, or creating. Once the Scorpion sets their sights on a goal, there's no deterring this sign. Tasks that require a scientific, penetrating approach are always best done by the Scorpion, as they will delve deeply into the materials they have. Their ability to focus, coupled with determination, makes for strong management skills. They're not ones to worry about making friends on the job scene; rather, they prefer to see the task accomplished well.

Pursuing such careers as a scientist, doctor, investigator, navigator, detective, researcher, police officer, business manager, and psychologist all suit the mighty Scorpion. Respect is an essential aspect of working for this sign. They need to respect their coworkers, while also feeling a sense of being respected by others.

Disciplined enough to stick to a budget and unafraid of working as hard and as long as it takes puts the Scorpion in a good financial position. Many are fortunate and inherit money. Whatever the case - and regardless of the balance - they are great managers of their dollars and are not apt to overspend at all. Money means security and a sense of control, which is important to the Scorpion. Therefore, they're going to hang onto the majority of the cash, making decisions carefully before turning any of it over.

Ok actually I'm not much of a horoscope freak but I can't help it when most of it is true. I wouldn't say it's true for all the scorpions I know though, so could be just a majority trait thingy. And it's quite freaky, most of the time, when I meet a horoscope freak for a first time, and they immediately point out that I'm a scorpio. Geez. Like they go around memorising all the signs?

Anyway, it's my last 5 days at the airport next week, but still gonna be very busy. Till next time.

Michael Buble - Moondance

I realised, with only 2 more weeks before I end a horrendously long internship, I haven't really made use of my opportunities as an airport staff. One of these will be duty-free shopping, where I walk past the cosmetic stores almost every day and I'm soo tempted to get the DKNY, CK, Hugo Boss colognes that are staked up high and nice and of course, with staff discounts waiting for me. But of course I don't know if it's worth the dough, cos I'm quite satisfied with my adidas one now. Anyhow, won't have much time to decide! If you guys need anything, (like MAC and SK II, so popular among girls), let me know soon. Yours truely would probably never ever work in the airport again!

Anyway, Friday I was granted a morning shift, so after work decided to town again after so long. Met LinD to watch INTO THE BLUE, the only non-M18 movie, which Ryna got so crazy all about. Basically it's like open waters to me, seeing those people getting devoured by sharks. Eww. The whole world knows I hate sharks. My only consolation is seeing Jessica Alba in a hot swimsuit the whole time. *drooools*

Nicole dropped by after her internship too and we opted for DUECE BIGILO, I would just say save your quid, it's retarded, gross, whatever. I can't believe Americans run out of ideas so fast.

Caught GOAL this morning with younger bro, all I can say is, Liverpool fans wouldn't want to catch that. Nuff said. Iz and gang dropped by my place at night for soccer, and a whole lot of army talk, which reminds me of a pending medical next month to see if I retain my dreaded Pes A status which I got easily last year. I can't think of any injury to feign so that I can declare. I've been perfectly healthy since young, though my diet says otherwise. I was just about to make a plea for anyone to break my bones and dismantle me, but lest that really happens, TOUCH WOOD, I would just shut my mouth. Benfoo says I should get an 'internal injury', like declaring I have extreme depression or something. LOL! Ok I will consider that!!

Gotta be off at AIRPORT again tomorrow morning! *sighz*

I was pretty disgusted today, when an Australian woman with her infact checked in, and there was lots of documentation processing. The infant was way too bored I guess, and resorted to climbing onto my desk and drooling heaps of saliva all over my computer terminal. I almost puked right there! Imagine the after-work that had to be done -_-

boring boring buble

Tuesday, October 11, 2005

Recently there have been many stars at the airport, but I just don't recognise any. One moment I see a good-looking chap disguised in a cap and sunglasses and the next moment, he's mobbed by a kerzillion gals. But really, I can't be that backdated! Maybe I need to watch more HK shows, and improve my Cantonese at the same time. Oh well, I was the only one who noticed JULIAN HEE today, right in front of me, accompanying his girlfriend(most likely) for check-in. Yes and he probably rushed back to watch himself on the last episode of heartlanders.

Feeling hungry yet again! I see my post and pictures below, and I feel so tempted.. but I won't!

Felt so embaressed at work. My sup was demonstrating how to use a CD player in replacement for our boarding calls at the gate, and I was the only one laughing so loudly. LOL.

Off for supper!

WHAT A COOL SKIN!

My life is so sad. Came back from a gruelling game of soccer, and no one's at home! Ok, what's the big deal huh. Yes, NO LUNCH for me. Saddest thing in the whole wide world. Not that my home is devoid of any food, but, let's just say, I'm not very skilled in turning raw food into cooked food, if u know what I mean!

LAST RESORT! I called Mc donald's. You know how sad that is. Having Mcdonald's for lunch. I haven't stepped into the airport for almost 10 years already cos I wanna avoid fast food. (yah what rubbish as if Popeye's is any healthier!) And what's worser? I don't have the hotline number. Searched online, searched the newspapers, and nowhere to be found! So I called 100.

6777-3777

Tsk tsk. What sort of ridiculous number is 67773777. Ok it gets worse! So I called and they answered immediately, and know what they say?

"Good afternoon Mr Tan your next order will take 75 minutes."

75 minutes!

I was about to throw my phone outta the window. SIGH. Ok no choice. I contemplated the 6870974 roti prata stalls outside, or Jalan Tua Kong Mee Pok, or nasi lemak, but I figured I'm too lazy to even step out of the house. So fine. 75 minutes!

Ok, actually, it came in 60 minutes..

Big Mac and Apple pie. How sad.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com
no, it's not as appetizing as it looks here

Image hosted by TinyPic.com
and they threw in a pathetic BIG MAC Cd with 4 songs that are already in my ipod

Big Mac and Apple pie costs $4.60, and there's a $2 delivery surcharge, so total was $6.60

That concludes my very sad lunch :(

Another week gone. 3 more weeks!!

Been getting lots of afternoon shifts lately; good in the sense I get to sleep late and wake up late, bad in the sense that my meal times have been too irregular for my body to control. So sometimes I overeat, thinking that I would probably have to skip dinner, and sometimes, it's just breakfast the whole day and I break out into uncontrollable spasms and gastric pains at work. Surprisingly though, my weight hasn't changed much. If you didn't know, there's a weighing scale at my counter so when I'm free I'll just hop on and see if that pathetic Bengawan Solo dinner made any difference, and sadly, nope!

Think I need a good exercise regime! I've stopped clubbing for some time. The alcohol been has been draining me, and the music has been rather disappointing. I'm probably on for soccer and swimming tomorrow even with a sick body. Brrrr.

Oh well, I've said this, but I'll say it again. 3 more weeks! And I'm outta the airport for good! What a relief. Don't get me wrong, it's a wonderful place to work at, but I think I'm done with all the challenges and stuff. Can't wait to get out!!

can i help u?

Saturday, October 01, 2005

As requested from many of u peeps, here's the song:

THERE WITH YOU (Sylvester Sim)
OST//Shooting Stars

All this time while you're with me
I've been in the dark
Didn't think for the life of me
You would do me wrong

We had it all but you choose not to know
You always knew my heart was home

Chorus:
I've loved you with your disguise
You've proven that love is blind
There are no answers I find
To stop the tears from my eyes
Now everything looks black and white
You've taken away clear blue skies
Though it's time to go
I know my heart has always been
And will be there for you

All this time while I'm true to you
You turned and looked away
There just wasn't any sign that says
You're only passing through

I'll close my eyes to forget our times
I can't restrain you from your lies
The fear of ever losing you
Was finally come true

Chorus

Ok once and for all,

Wonka Bars are available at:

-The fiticious chocolate factory
-Millenia Walk Candy Empire
-T2 departure hall; check out the candy shop beside Burger King and Guardian. It's just opposite the MRT. If you're coming from T1, walk down the skytrain ramp and you'll see the shop

Trust me, it's worth the trip :)
