Big big thanks:
To those who came this past week!
Your presence brought me joy and comfort
your gifts brightened my day
and gave me strength for the op!

And those who texted and called me
really appreciate all your concern
and all your prayers have been heard

Than you Lord Jesus for bringing me thru this ordeal!
Indeed, all things are possible :)

EYE SORE!

Ok as some of u may not know, I'm having this eye infection now. Suspected fungi growth in my left eye, though it's not confirmed till my culture growth is back from the test lab.

Started really bad on Friday morning, though I still insisted on going to school despite doc's advice. She said ' it was nothing serious'. Haha. What a joke ok.

Came evening, it was so bad I could just gorge out my eye, so I went to another doctor for a second opinion, and tada! My worst fears comfirmed. He just rushed me straight to CGH and the doc over there said if not treated early I could have gone blind. Really hit me like a shock man. Anyway, spent a couple of hours getting observations and tests, which included using a needle to scrape the damm fungi out of my eye. Ewww. Anyone planning to film SAW 3?

The situation didn't improve much honestly, doc asked me to stay overnight, but gave me the option of getting treated at home too. So of course, didn't getting warded in the end. But gave me 2 eye drops and asked me to put them EVERY HALF HOURLY THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT.

That's when the nightmare began. Went back, knocked out, and mum proceeded to stay up the whole night and came eye-dropping every 30 minutes from 12 - 8am. That's as good as not sleeping man. Anyway, really thank my family especially for taking care of me. My mum, in the process, cancelled her Malacca holiday this weekend and didn't get any sleep the whole night. Older bro for giving up his bed for me so it's more convenient, younger bro for praying the whole night and offering to wake up to give me the drops..

Saturday came and went straight off to CGH in the morning to meet an eye specialist, insisted that I purchase a fungi medication with costs $200 :x only available at S'pre eye centre. My mum wasn't really convinced with all these diagnosis so we headed to Gleneagles for a third opinion with her own eye specialist, and sure enough she said that a fungi growth was very unlikely.

Hmm, where do I go from here ?!

Went off for lunch lah haha. Headed to Pete's Place to meet concerned relatives and cousins, let them see and feel sorry for my pathetic eye. Went back home, felt I was in a much better state so I figured could go for Stef Sun's concert at night, although my aunt was very very reluctant when she saw me at the stadium. Anyway the concert wasn't really good, maybe was quite distracted by all the bright lights and stuff which my eye couldn't grasp.

Today is Sunday! Woke up and went to CGH for a session with the eye specialist which lasted only 15 minutes, situation's better though.

Tomorrow is another session at CGH and then to Gleneagles to see my mum's doctor. Collectively, I have already 1 week of MC next week so I probably shouldn't worry about classes, but with all the deadlines, I reckon I don't have much of a choice unless I'm seriously bedridden! So yeah, if you do see me next week with a red eye, don't ask why!

Also wanna say a big thank you to my TDP group, you know who you are, for putting up with all this crap despite a mad rush to complete the project, rest assured once I finish typing this I will get down to business!

Kylie Minogue / Chocolate

I just discovered that TP design school has the most luscious and hugest ONDEH ONDEH on the face of ths earth.

It comes in an abnormally large size, about maybe, half an average fist, warm and covered with coconut, and Mahathir insists eating it the normal ondeh ondeh way - straight off, without even dissecting it.

So that's what I did, even though I was pretty sure I didn't have a big mouth (literally and metaphorically), and trust me, I was on the verge of choking to death and sueing him for attempted murder :X

So the other guys was game for it too, and I proceeded to buy 7 more Ondeh Ondeh, with the drink store aunty staring at me in utter disbelief.

And all of us ate! Haha, I finished my second one without much hassle, but you could see the others struggling to stuff that humongous piece of disaster into their small mouths. Haha.

Go try it! At 40cents a piece, it's well worth all that..erm..choking.

Dr William Tan , a paralympic wheelchair athlete, has completed his 24-hour hand-cycling attempt to set a Guinness World Record.

At about 7pm on Friday evening, he clocked a distance of 264 kilometres in 24 hours on a hand-bike, about 202 km short of the existing record of 466 km which was completed on a road track.

But an appeal will be sent to the Guinness World Records for Dr Tan to set a brand new record.

This is because he was on a tartan track instead.

Thousands of Temasek Polytechnic students came to support Dr Tan, and to break a national Singapore record for greatest cumulative distance covered in 24 hours.

Temasek Polytechnic accomplished a distance of about 14,000 km, exceeding the record of about 2,245.4 km set by Standard Chartered Bank last year.

Dr Tan said: "Well I must say that the students of TP has been really wonderful. They turned out in such huge numbers to support me in my attempt. So that kind of atmosphere has been very galvanising and that is a strong driving force to persevere on in spite of some of the challenging elements of the day." - CNA/ch

Whoa!
Well done TP!
Heard stories about students running 30-40 rounds? at 3am?
While I was sleeping like a log haha..

[Been sabotaged to do this]

Write down 5 quirky habits, then tag 5 other people who have to do the same.

-I guess most people noticed this strange habit: I eat my desserts before my main course!
-I love to wear red: Red tshirt, shorts, socks, shoes, bags. Duh. It's my fav colour
-Hmm when I da bao my Milo Dino back home, I will add a zillion more scoops of milo powder on top!
-I bathe many many times a day! Maybe 4?
-Ok I have the tendency to watch movies twice! (of course if it's a good movie lah)

Ahh I won't enforce anyone to do it, basically if your name is in my links list on the right of the page, you must be so free reading this, SO DO IT

Maybe I'll watch it again later.
About 1 more month and it's over, been so caught up with projects. Desmond Lim just approved my semester paper, although it was such a difficult topic, but my journal article c.m.i

Back to Earth !

It's been a long 5 days! Told my mum 4 days would suffice but she didn't listen, and on the last day she opted for us to take the earlier flight back. Haha, of course I didn't. Oh well, it was freezing cold in HK especially at night, but I still walked around with a t-shirt anyway, since I don't get such weather here. Did a hell lot of shopping, and so did my mum, swipe her credit card until no more credit. Beat that! Food was horrible though, for someone who detests Chinese food. I almost puked on my dim sum the last day.

NYE was spent at Ladies Street instead, revelling in the sights and sounds of noisy teenagers just pranking around. Was fun though!

The trip back home was on economy yet again, and I'm not sure why there was no upgrading when it was completely full. The food really sucked on board. Anyway, was browsing through the new selection of movies and I would have to say it was pretty good, though for some strange reason I opted for "Love Actually". Since it was out, I've been watching it every Xmas but I decided to give it a miss this time around lest I get those coughed-up feelings inside of me yet again and do something very rash. Those who have watched that movie can testify. But instinctively I just turned it on and caught it again, laughing at the same old jokes, and at the end, all those tear-jerky moment came sweeping back making me feel very heavy-hearted yet again. Dug straight into my ipod to find comfort amongst the 2000 songs but failed. Oh well, the power of this movie..

On another note,
GOODBYE 2005
HAPPY 2006!

No, like the 98720894 of you reading this, I didn't make any resolutions for 2005, cos I don't believe in such stuff. So, can't really say that I've achieved a blessed 2005 but can't really say that I didn't achieve anything as well. WTH.

Looking back at 2005....

There was only 1 thing hogging my life!
