My first ever blog post on my brand new MAC! Woots! A big thanks to @sarahannlim for helping me get it at a dirt cheap student rate of $1288, and together with my ipad, ipod and iphone, I'm a full-fledged Mac convert now! Ahhh Steve Jobs, you are the man of my life and my walllet. ENOUGH OK! Stop inventing new products! Enough!

Alright that's a first and another first would be my virgin trip to New Zealand.. and what more, on the first ever inaugural Auckland direct flight from Singapore as well!

Definitely quite exciting but 10 hours to Auckland is really no joke, haven't done such a long sector in almost a year now, my last being Sydney-Honolulu but that was ages ago. You just finish the meal service, ready to get some rest and then it hit you, oh my, there's still another 8 hours to go! It's really painful being on a plane so long with absolutely nothing you can do but exchanging magazines with colleagues and chatting with the new crew. Also the terrible 5-hour time difference that hits you when you land. Spent the entire first night tossing and turning in bed; it was pretty impossible to sleep. Guess it takes time to get used to it.

Anyway here are some pictures of Auckland city! Was too tired to really go out and explore so just some stuff around my hotel.

Staying beside a university has its advantages. Because it's a very student-populated area, food is mostly very affordable and easily accessible.

So I was called out for a Perth trip yesterday and which meant I would be doing 3 perths in a single month after not doing any for the last 6 months. You know what they say - you wait all day for a train and then 2 trains will come at one time. (And in my case, THREE!)

Anyway, by stroke of luck, my usual Mercure hotel was fully booked due to a weekend concert in the city and my oh my, I was put up at the swanky Intercontinental Hotel instead! Which included - a limousine airport transfer and an upgrade to a suite, which included as well - a choice of Continental or American daily buffet breakfast for 3 nights, use of the club lounge with free wifi, beverages all day long and evening canapes with a selection of wine.

And I won't go into detail about how humongously big the room was. Such a waste I came down alone, if not I would have dragged my colleagues to bunk in with me.

It's times like this when you really love your company to bits and wanna stay here forever!

And here I am, unwilling to go out at all so I'm staying in the lounge all day and doing absolutely nothing at all. Ahhh, what a life.

Alright, last Friday was my church's young adults party at Tropica condo and sort of a post church camp get-together, here are some lovely shots taken by our professional photogs abnd their awesome DSLRs!

Liam Neeson arrives in berlin with his wife, gets into a car crash and wakes up with his wife completely deserting him. The premise of this whole plot was gripping and very original, alas it was the conclusion and the illogical end to the movie that really killed everything. I'd say give this a miss, it was very disappointing and regrettably forgettable.

THE ADJUSTMENT BUREAU

Photobucket

Matt Damon is a US senator who bumps into a lovely New Yorker and dates her, but unfortunately The adjustment Bureau is a team of experts that decides the fates and lives of people and tells him he should leave her of suffer the consequences. The movie has certain elements of Inception and the concept of time which was refreshing (and definitely better than Mr Titanic) and overall, a wonderful love story that sets you asking questions about what is fate and what you can control in life. Don't miss this!
