Thank you for all your wishes. It's not as serious as the picture looks, like as if I'm dead and dying!

I have never been sick for such a long period before. It got so bad that my mum insisted in taking a blood test and confirming it's not dengue. But I wasn't that paranoid and not about to drag my sorry soul to the doctor again. The feeling of just staying at home and rotting away. I missed BOTH the premiere for Pirates 3 and Shrek 3!

But the worst, and strangest thing to come from this was the apparent weight loss. After reluctantly changing into my uniform this morning, I stared into the mirror and I couldn't recognise that ghastly figure staring back at me! I looked like a skeleton in that uniform, and my belt seemed all too redundant unlike before! So the first thing I did when I reached the office was to take out the weighing machines and I actually lost 4 KILOS! In 3 DAYS! Olinda Cho Slimming...MOVE ASIDE!

The good thing is that moves my BMI back to the 'healthy' range after previously tipping the 'OVERWEIGHT' for some peculiar reason. The bad thing is that I gotta get my foracious appetite back into full force!

On the menu, it costs $68+++/bowl! That's effectively the most expensive bowl of soup I've ever drunk!

But it was worth it because it was part of a buffet lunch, which costs $48+++. And unfortunately, everyone could only order 1 bowl. If not, I would have been drinking that the whole lunch!


I simply cannot resist chocolate tau huay at Chomp Chomp. Went back for 2 bowls last Thursday after Football Crazy, and the coffee one was even more delectable. Yummy.

My virgin trip to Chomp Chomp @ Serangoon was rather eventful. The food was awesome. I wish I could trade simpang for that because after almost 14-15 years in simpang, I'm finally getting sick of all the bombs and dinosaurs and all that greasy trans fat that is breaking my whole body down and causing my BMI to shoot. Oh well, had the usual food you could find at 85, with all my uni mates, plus this lovely gem that I was craving for all my life..

It was the best tau huay I have ever eaten. One scoop of the gentle beancurd, and it literally melts in your mouth. M&Ms - BITE YOUR DUST. I had 2 bowls at one go. It was too tempting to resist. And if my stomach was kinder, I would have tried the other exotic flavours like Pandan or Strawberry. Yummylicious. I will move to Serangoon tomorrow. Farewell Simpang.

Bought a pair or BIRKENSTOCKS today. Heard about how comfy and all so thought I'll try it on. Verdict? Comfy, but not as comfy as my beloved ugly CROCS sandals. Besides, CROCS only cost me about $50, while this BIRKENSTOCKS cost me $79. AND, strangely it wasn't the colour I wanted because red, for some irrational reason, would be twice that price. So I got the normal brown one. Heck, I'm buying something that I'll probably use very seldom and it's not even the design I want. Talk about consumerism man. My dad and brothers also bought a pair each.

I was contemplating on a pair of adidas sneakers as well but I remembered what Mel and Adele said about me opening an adidas factory outlet because of the unthinkable number of shoes I already have. So I passed, but I'm sure my temptations will come back to haunt me!

I can't imagine when I get my promotion + govt NS pay rise + GST rebate later in the year. That doesn't even add up to my internship pay at airport and now I'm becoming a shopaholic. Oh, it just crossed my mind that Great Singapore Sale is in June. Temptations, temptations.

Yuqian's 21st last month

Mum offered to send me to CDC after work and sign up for my basic theory again. Seriously I don't think it really matters cos at the end of the test, there's going to be a big FAIL on my screen. I can't understand anything that has to do with cars. I've studied that book over and over again, but when I see 3 cars in a complicated picture, my brain shuts down and it goes into zOnKeR MoDe LiKe ThIs.

The American Idols are crap this season. It's Bon Jovi week and I'm hearing beating boxing, rap, and one of them sang a rock ballad like Celine Dion. Give the old man some credit dudes! It's Bon Jovi! Right Adele?? Soon we will see the Backstreet Boys going retro.

The Dance Floor grand finals was awesome yesterday. Totally agree with Li-Lin that Singaporeans are a real talented bunch. They can sing, and they can dance. Is there anything that we can't do?? Yes although it was a couple that won and technically the guy wasn't Singaporean. And I really think the wrong team won, but money gets you far. Simple as that.

Spiderman 3 premiere at The Cathay today. I waited almost 6 months for this day! And I was slightly disappointed with the ending but overall it was a great movie. Great fight scenes, some stupid corny love story, and a great trilogy in all. Next up - Pirates of the Carribean 3 !
