Thanks all, for the great MOS night!

Though the music sucks, haha, but it's been so long. And only reached back home at 5am woo hoo. Completely burned out. "WASTED"!

Question of the day:
Why do bouncers still check my i/c ?!

Answer:
Because I'm still young!

I remember when
You came with me that night
You said forever

My acceptance letter for my part-time degree arrived in the mail.

Bachelor of Arts (Communication and Mass Media)
Asia Pacific Management Institute
Awarded by University of Southern Australia
15 months course

So yeah, many have questioned my decision, about why I wanna stress myself studying on weeknights and weekends, which means I literally won't have a life till I ORD. And also why I didn't continue studying tourism.

With regards to the first issue, I really don't have a choice. It doesn't make sense slacking away my 2 years, with the option of working part time literally dashed with the army's strict guidelines on moonlighting.

Secondly, there are loads of other HTM students who have decided to shy away from tourism as well, so I'm not alone, and in any case, it's always been my top interest to pursue mass comm.

Wish me luck ! School starts in September !

This is the last time
that I'm ever gonna give in tonight
Are there angels or devils crawling in?

The past week had been rather heartbreaking, especially on 2 occassions.

Firstly, Jane has left for Perth!

Of course, that's my neighbour and schoolmate for 14 years, including 2 in the same class. We moved in way back in 1993, where we literally took the same school bus for the next 6 years. Then in sec sch, she was like my bus number 10 kaki with a few other pals who have, also, moved to Perth! And then we ended in in same school, and quite rightly, almost the same course in poly.

It's quite sad that it has to end here after so many years!

Went over to her place very late last night and bade our farewell. Her dog is still having a grudge on me after 14 years!

Anyhows, all the best!

Halloween 2005

The earlier part of the week was even worse when the Singapore Idol results were out on Thursday night. I didn't manage to catch the show as I was in a movie, and my aunt smsed me when the results were in. "Jay out", and I thought, rightly so. Enough of his nonsence singing and emo emotions. Then she smsed back.

"Eh Gayle out. Sorry heard wrongly"

I was literally hyperventilating all the way home.

The next day at work, I was listening to Class 95 the whole morning, and you could really experience the pain when FD and GO ranted on for almost an hour about how disgraceful the show is, that all Singaporeans care about is looks and not talent, and that how Gayle should have easily won the competition from the start, and then, well it got kinda racist so I shall stop.

At work, on the wall near my desk, I put up the huge Singapore Idol poster I got from 8 days and there were stickers given for me to stick when the contestants were eliminated. Norman's got this huge sticker across that reads "WEEK 1 OUT".

Up till now, I still can't bear to put the sticker on Gayle.

I think I've lost interest in this whole competition? Joakim's becoming a total joke as well. But well, it still pays to see who goes all the way, but I'm not sure if I can really support anyone now. It's like World Cup: you don't switch teams when your team gets eliminated. That's just rubbish.

The past week has really opened my eyes to how the army treats Pes E NSFs.

During our unit's 2.4km live run on Thursday, my superior requested that I do not participate in the run because I am deemed to be 'medically unfit for any form of exercise'. But eventually, due to some disorganisation from what I see, everyone just went ahead with the run, and let's just say, IMHO, that I whizzed past all the Pes As and Pes Bs NSFs effortlessly.

None of them even completed 2.4km and they were totally shagged out !

Having said that, I didn't want to create an uproar by participating in the soccer friendly thereafter, where it was the regulars vs the NSFs, and as I expected, the regulars trashed the living daylights out of us.

On another note, I went to Kushin-Bo on Tuesday and Sakura Safra yesterday night. Both buffets included free flow of sashimi, and I think I could have easily ate about 30 slices of sashimi in a week after much counting! I think that's enough to avoid a heart attack at any time of my life ever.

By the way, salmon is good for the heart. Literally only.

Yesterday night was also zpop concert at Indoor stadium, where it was overly draggy and I really pity those who forked out to watch the concert. Of course I'm only there for Jolin Tsai. I don't even know who the other 3 singers are, much less heard of their songs, so the first hour was really a drag until the pop princess came out and delivered her dance routines effortlessly.

Strange, but she really resembles someone..don't you think..?

First casualty of SG idol is Norman Then !

It's hardly surprising lah, doesn't change anything, since he was a wildcard judges choice. And then the rock song he sang was so different from his Jamie Cullum style.

Go go gayle !

I was almost killed at the mrt station today.

At Jurong MRT, I was taking the escalator up carrying a HUGE bag of DAISO stuff, and there were 3 hyper active teenage school girls in front. I have no idea what a soccer ball was doing in their possession. You mean girls play soccer during recess now? What next? Boys playing zero point? (Oh, nothing surprising. I was SHPS zero point champion. wahahaha)

Anyway, they obviously tried to do a David Beckham, or a Yao Ming, I don't know. The next moment, I saw the ball flying towards me while I was togling my ipod, like how the 911 planes crashed into the twin towers. And fortunately, I was a volleyball player, so I managed to duck before they scored a 3-pointer. And then I got hold of the ball and stared at them.

Go figure what happens next ..

Adele is leaving for Brisbane tomorrow for her studies. Just finished writing her farewell card, it made me very very emotional, and I don't know why the tears just flowed. I've never had someone so close leaving Singapore for so long before, and it'll be very hard not having her around anymore.

PLEASE VOTE FOR GAYLE NERVA !

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

The hottest contestant in Singapore Idol Top 12, and she can actually sing !
But she's happily attached. Haha. NOT surprising.

Or alternatively, Joaquim Gomez, because he did so well for 'geek in da pink'

Haha, I don't know why I'm rooting for Eurasians and Koreans, when it's SINGAPORE idol.

Oh, and on behalf of sarah, you can also vote for Emilee Kang !

I am in love with this chocolate phone from LG !

I love anything that has to do with chocolate. Charlie and the chocolate factory, Kylie Minogue has a huge song called 'Chocolate', and now a chocolate phone!

After feeling and ogling with the phone, I could just eat the phone!

Hmm, I realised, I do kinda miss my BMT mates. I'm the only sad case that got posted to Paya Lebar, the rest of them are enjoying life in CMPB or rotting in Gombak. Those 5 days were like a holiday for us. I'm always thinking about the afternoons where we spent hours playing MURDERER. Lol. Can you imagine 12 guys sitting around in tekong playing murderer, winking at each other. hahahahaha. And how we took 2 hours to wash the toilet because we literally bubbled the whole place up with soap and tsunami-ed the whole floor after that. So the toilet in VIPER company is definitely the cleanest in the whole of tekong.

I called Desmond just now, he's the saddest case in the whole world because he went in 2 days before the world cup finals :( and he's still rotting there till next Fri.

I should be so lucky,
lucky lucky lucky..

(it's wednesday) :)

It's been so long since I mambo-ed! Hai, will I ever get a Thursday off soon !?

I saw the sign
that opened my eyes
I saw the sign !

I MISSED THE 2 SEMI-FINALS.

Sigh. So it's France vs Italy. GO PIZZA!!!

The finals is on Monday morning 3am. Fortunately, I've got monday morning off for medical appointment, and afternoon got to attend a ceremony where my professor will receive an award for his efforts in the fungal outbreak in Singapore. I recorded a thank you speech for him and the nurses in Ward 63!

He saved my life, so I really do owe it to him.

On a similar note, my grandmother from Ipoh just flew in here for an operation. AN EYE OPERATION AT SGH. Sounds familiar eh? Hai, cataracts this time, and my mum wants her to get the surgery in Singapore cos it's much better. See what happened to me? Wah, my mum will be staying over at SGH tonight. She's like an eye counsellor now. Anyone who needs psychological relief for eye problems can go to her. She's such an expert now.

Back to my DVDs. Gorillaz live in concert !
