Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to my left eye
Happy birthday to you
It's officially been a year since I had that fateful op, where in the midst and controversy of organ selling today, I received the gift of sight from a total stranger. One year on, everything still seems like a blur to me, as I recall my traumatic experiences, but one year on, there hasn't been any relapses and rejection. As I was wheeled into the operation theatre on 24 January 2006, at excatly noon, my future flashed before me. Will I be able to fulfill all my dreams with my disability? I questioned God. He answered with a resounding yes, and one year on, He has been faithful ever since.
I didn't celebrate this special day with ease. Instead, I spent the entire evening before back where I was in square one - Changi General Hospital A&E. Younger bro had a freak accident while playing floorball which left his hip fractured. This is his second time in A&E after last week's incident where he suffered an almost similar fate to mine and complained of an eye sore in the left eye. Fortunately it was just overwearing of contacts. Last night, he could barely walk while being whisked into the A&E, so a wheelchair was the only option. X-ray revealed a slight tear in the hip, but thankfully it's much better today.
I'm really tearing my hair out on 1 assignment, which is to set up a blog. I've spent the whole night searching all the lovely blogskins I love, but I have absolutely no idea how blogger works. (Makes me wonder how this blog evolved in the first place) DOOMED!
Anyhows, aunt flying back from US again, I want more REESE PEANUT BUTTER CUPS this sunday!
You must be my lucky star
Cos you shine on me
Wherever you are
