DASH BERLIN night!
First zouk session of 2011 and it's MAN ON THE RUN!
Look at the crowd! First time that I actually had to wait outside Zouk for TWO HOURS before I could get in! And I had to sneak in because it was impossible to get any tickets and get anyone to bring me in!
The usual suspects!
Next up.. my first Osaka trip for 2011! Had a whole chunk of japanese crew on my flight and I took the opportunity to travel with them to the city. There's no way a non-japanese will ever get there by himself. The train network is CRAZY; everything is in japanese. Even my japanese friends had to ask for directions. It's that complicated!
THE OSAKA TEMPLE.
It was freezing cold, surprisingly Osaka was even colder than Tokyo and that's a rare occurrence! Caught out without my scarf and gloves, which was terrible!
The japanese perform a ritual every start of the year in the temples. They take this huge bolder and shake it vigorously, which a stick will fall out and their fortune be told this way.
There will be a code on the stick, which they will find the corresponding paper match on the table which spells out how their year will turn out.
Looks like good fortune for Takeshi and Miwa!
After which, they will take their fortune paper and hang everything on this huge tree.
Interesting stuff! Headed off the city of NAMBA for lunch.
The famous IPPUDO ramen!
Authentic and genuine shit ass ramen! I heard there's an outlet in Singapore and it charges like $16-17 for a bowl. What a rip off!
But since it's that good, I might head there to try anyway, hahaha.
