So the past 2 weeks have been really a series of unfortunate events at works. On my short 3 days Melbourne trip, my luggage got lost when I arrived in Singapore and though it was back in my hands 2 days later, wasn't too impressed either way. The lost luggage system is just terrible on my side. Can't tell me where my bag is, can't tell me when I'm going to have it back; hello in that case you issue a bag tag receipt for what? Just save it and dump any bag into any aircraft lah. Dumb.

Even worse was my one week ordeal in Auckland (for those following me on twitter www.twitter.com/jermrocktheboat you'd probably know what happened) when I got stranded for 8 days because of the volcanic ash. Yes, 8 whole days is like a holiday, but it's not when you're constantly out of cash and clothes. And bear in mind we didn't know when we were going back until the actual evening itself, so there wasn't much we could do. If I knew I was going to be there for a week from the start, yes that's a different scenario altogether.

Anyway! Back home finally! Couple of days off (KYLIE MINOGUE TOMORROW YESSSSS!) so let's recap my whole month!

BEERFEST 2011

Second year at Beerfest with mambo peeps and I absolutely hated it! Didn't hate the awesome company though! I hate beer, that's it. I can't stand the bitter taste, I can't stand the aftertaste. I can't take beer, really.

This beer was quite unique though! LYCHEE BEER!

I love lychee anyway so this wasn't that bad.

Apple cider is not really a beer, is it? Wasn't too bad too! Anything fruity, I can take!

JAIGERBOMB. Hangover yeahhhhhhhh.

Grandma's birthday / Father's Day dinner @ Ah Yat Abalone

It's no secret that I'm not a big fan of these posh Chinese restuarants. Paying so much for some tasteless abalone? Ah where's my nasi lemak. Hahaha.

You guys better be prepared for Indian/Malay food at my wedding.

Lastly, some shots of my Melbourne trip! It's great to have wonderful crew on your trips, I think it's very important. I cannot stand cabin crew who spend their overnights in their room watching DVDs and reading books. In that case, don't be a cabin crew lah. Or go join Jetstar Asia and do turnarounds. You're wasting time.

LONDON BRIDGE!

First ever trip to Europe! Had to wait till 2011 but I told myself last year that this was the year I'm gonna set foot and I'm so glad I achieved it! Couldn't have done it if not for a huge series of fortunate events - Adele's free week which gave me accomodation at her place, a $250 Qantas voucher that I used for staff travel and approval for my 2 weeks leave! Am already planning my next trip to tour Europe in April 2012 with my family, let's hope I can make it! We are starting to book our tickets very soon!

At a French pancake cafe where the specials were all pancakes but I chose CURRY CHICKEN pancake haha. Dele wanted to slap me ok. But it was so good!

Fish and chips.. which wasn't that fantastic because any fish and chips without chilli sauce sucks. Hahaha.

The burgers outside Stamford Bridge were pretty awesome shit!

And so were the milkshakes!

Wasn't as big as I thought. I'd imagine St James Park would be a much bigger stadium but oh well, hopefully I can make my pilgrimage there next year!

The HURT Locker!

Alex McEachran, one of the players I would buy in a heartbeat. Loads of talent, incredibly young. One for the future, mark my words.

Wish he was there! What a pity, but this is as close as it gets to EL NINO!

Best goalkeeper in the league? Definitely Cech. Would have been Shay Given but he threw that away. Van Der Sar? Too inconsistent. Reina? Only a great shot stopper but can't do anything else. GOMES? Clown!
